Buying a car or bike here or anything else here in Oregon there is no sales tax. A big advantage for living here.

But I hear property taxes make up for it.

They are not that high when compared to states that have both. They keep trying to put in a sales tax and the voters keep saying no.

Since discovering they are making an Ultra low I am gonna debate trading for a 2015 Ultra low or perhaps lowering my front and rear suspension but that doesn't improve on the much wanted beefier front end?

FLHT biker I read you modified you rear and front suspension. Do you ride 2 up and if you do how is the bump obsorbing potential with the lowering of your suspension?

Not feeling the 200+ monthly note when my current note is under 80$. However that beefier front end is important. Why they went with the same old front end from 2009-2013 is beyond me. They had 5 years to remedy that.

Looking for some front end dampeners..been meaning to call tru trax, wondering if that'll help at all..

BD, I never lowered my front and rear of my bike. Don't know where you read that. My SE Ultra actually because of the new seat on the SE Ultra sets higher than the old one by about a 1/2 inch. The new seat on my SE Ultra is thicker which in turn causes an increase in height. Not to pad as I'm 6'1". When I ride the bike I don't notice it much however the new front end I believe helps better in slow maneuvers. I've never been one who can cut a small circle with my old Ultra but the new one is easier.

My 2012 Ultra feels slightly squirrley in the high speed interstate banks and wobbles at slow speeds just riding over pebles.

I just figured by 2012,4 years after the frame change they would have worked out the bugs...nope. f*ckers waited till 2014..

friend of mine's 2013 E-glide just had the neck bearings adjusted, under warrenty, for a slow speed wobble.

Yep! Ya gotta stay after the neck bearings doing the "fall away test". I bet it's the most overlooked adjustment by most shops.

you can do it yourself, you need a 2 ft piece of welding rod,
flatten one end like a flat screwdriver, and bend it a bit
to get the angle to fit under the inside faring and under the
    top triple tree.

Once you figure out the angle and get it in place you can
tap the rod with a mallet to tighten up the locking ring
without taking the whole faring apart.
