    19,000 miles on a front tire wholey ****. i learned a long time ago. when u change the rear tire change the front also. i did it the 1st time at the recommendation of the shop doin the work. wow whadda diff when both tires r new. cost a lil more yes but the feel of the road and my life r much much better. believe change both at the same time.

    I've always rode the front tire till it needs changing. Heck got almost 5000 more miles out of it. The tread still has 3 thousands on it so its not worn out. But when they get to feeling squirrelly I change them out.

    i read this and went n lqqk at the replacement rotors on my 12 flhtc. the rotors r bolted to the wheel hub but where the pads grab between there n the hub there is a rivet in one of rotor spoke from your description looks like some kind of floating thing to allow for the expansion. again this is stock could it be some sort of floater rotor?
