So than why do so many people pump up the Super E as the "Cure all" to your performance needs?? I know when I had my bike in the first time, the guy was really trying hard to talk me into the S&S. I asked him why and he really couldn't give me an answer except that it delivered a lot of fuel. Are S&S's not as adjustable as the CV?

the Super series SNS carbs are very good at delivering power, so are the mickey rooneys..

Think about it, your stock CV is a dog, it's lean, EPA jammed up, improperly jetted and has a restrictive paper filter.

So you go buy a $500 new whomever carb, it's not EPA jammed up, it's jetted richer and it has a high flow filter,

    Naturally it works better...

But the CV wasn't bad, it was just setup wrong....

JMO setup the CV right, and if it's still a problem and holding you back
then consider a new carb, Hey I have a Super E, Super G, Micky 45, CV 51, Woods Rebel 505, been through them all

The G is good on the 124, and it really could use a large one, I have the CV51 modified by Bobby Woods to a Rebel 505 and it's way smoother than the SNS.

Also people like the look of the SNS, and it is a good carb, top end power it will probably beat out the CV, but day to day riding, the CV is dang hard to top...

And they all use way more fuel than a properly tuned CV.

They can, you can tune a Mik pretty lean and get decent mileage
and most SNS are way rich because for some reason that's the way tuners
    set the carbs up.

CV's have really good street manners and make decent smooth power..
