this could be tricky. I know they work. It's only when you try to start it when it's hot. and remember after you hit the starter, if it stalls the starter, you stop and hit it again. The second time works 100%. So what's the difference between the first hot start and one second later?????

I don't mean to be stubborn, just thick headed lol

    That's ok I'll type s l o w e r ....

The voltage drop test will show you where you are at the starter
when you press the button, do it cold, then ride around get it nice
and hot and do it again at the green wire, see if it changes.

Like I said I was starting a high comp 124 with a stock starter
and the same SNS Electronic Releases you have.

With the releases you don't need a big azz starter.

Once you eliminate the voltage issue and are sure the starter
is getting sufficient power, hot and cold, then test the releases
hot and cold, just to be sure.

We're eliminating possible issues, once they are solved then it's possible
you're getting lifter bleed down on the hot bike at stops, you pull over, the
engine is on the top of one of the four lobes, pressure on the lifter is max,
while you fill up, take a whizz, light up a smoke, adjust your package, it's enough time for one or more lifters to bleed down, your oil is hot and at it's thinnest now.

When this happens the valve that should be open is closed, so when you go to start the compression is very high, although the releases should eliminate this.

SNS sells travel limiters for lifters, so that's an option as well.

Still if the releases are functioning you shouldn't be getting kickback
unless the starter isn't getting sufficient power..

It's just a function of eliminating possible causes, which narrows it down.

Rather find out if it's electrical vs digging into the engine.
