Got our electricity back at 7:04 last evening...It was so nice to be warm again...The sound of the HVAC unit coming on was pure pleasure...Last night was the coldest so far with temps in the 30's...Still a lot of people without power and no mass transit...

Great to hear Marc 55. In 2008 the year I had my open heart surgery we had the worst snow storm that I have ever seen. We had 3 feet of snow and it devastated the whole area (we're not set up for that kind of snow). We were without power for a week and yea it was cold. So know a bit about what you had to deal with. We cooked on a camp stove in the garage. I couldn't do much snow shoveling then so the wife was out their shoveling as much as she could.
I really feel for you guys and understand a bit of what your going through with the power not on. Hope you are able to get out and vote to get ride of that monster in the White House.:)

I can vote at the regular place now that power is back...We have that Noreaster coming in this evening which will bring in more rain and 50 mph gusts along the shore and we will probably get a few inches of snow...Talk about getting kicked when your down...

Yep, the Nor'easter is supposed to give us on the island 60-70mph winds, 2 or more inches of rain AND MORE FLOODING along the shorelines. I feel for those who have already been flooded out. More than 200,000 still no electricty and that will increase again come tomorrow afternoon.
