May god forgive me . But I'm glad this guy is dead . So sad these kids life was takin so soon . I'm sure if this guy was alive he would have never made it to the station . I'm glad the cops did not have to be put in that situation. Would have been a tough choice for that cop .

Seeing the carnage he left behind, I think it would have been easy to blow him away. There's one thing I will fight to my death for, and that's to protect a child. The most horrific thing for me to think about is what the wacko was thinking by taking away these kids. This puts him in the category of being truly a monster--what a way to be remembered. His whole family will forever bear this distinction.

The scumbags that did the Columbine High School shooting, Klebold and Harris, had someone else buy their guns from a lic. dealer. This type of life-form will always find a way to get the guns no matter what restrictions. The law abiding folks are always the ones who suffer.

I sincerely believe we ALL need to carry for our own self-preservation. Yes, like stepping back into the Old West days. No matter how many laws or lawmen, it will only come down to just you and the perp.

I had just finished teaching my Thursday 2nd grade art class and came home and my mother-in-law told me about it. I turned on Fox news and was let in on some of the worst news I've ever heard.

Ran across this... if you believe or if you don't, still worth reading...

Sometimes our understanding of hope changes. Life intrudes in ways that threaten us and cause us to doubt, we are left disoriented and confused. We can't help but wonder what hope means any more.

Be still. Be very still. There is a light still on the horizon, beckoning you to trust again. Like a gentle snow upon a meadow, your fear is blanketed in peace and a star is reflected from above. It is the star that leads to hope again.

We are shocked at what happened yesterday. Innocents slaughtered. Tomorrow we are to light the pink candle – the Joy candle. Really? Peace. Hope. Joy. Love. These words seem so distant, like a memory of when we were little.

When we lament, God listens and acts toward us in perfect love. And God hears the cries of children everywhere – Somalia, Syria, Afghanistan.

These huge words of Advent don’t always happen for us; sometimes they happen through us. We carry hope to someone who needs it. Who can you bring hope to today?

Something to think about, just saying....

ABC news had some dumb ASS on tonight saying how easy it easy to purchase a weapon and then walk out the door with it. But the jerk reporter never said that the kid who shoot all the kids didn't buy it but rather again took it from someone else like many of the other incidents, he took it from his mother after killing here. They never buy their own but steel from others. They are cowards and cruel selfish people. The system let us down not the guns. :banghead:

Was at a gun show today and my lord the place was packed and the AR and other similar rifles were flying off the shelves. Guys were all sitting in rows filling out the paper work and it was plugging up the line to the state to get their approvals. Places were having em pay for the guns and told them they would have to come back tomorrow to get there gun after the gun check with the state went through. I have never seen so many gun sales being made. People are scared that there going to restrict us all. All I bought was a holster and it didn't really fit the gun after I checked it when I got home. Need to get another Don Hume holster.
Good for you on your purchase the XDM can always be picked up again at a later time.

Well, they claim he took his own life. I'm sure if I were a cop and they choice were given to me, I think he would have "taken his own life".

BTW, what is a Monther of a mentally handicapped young adult living in the same house doing with gun permits? Here in NY that wouldn't have been possible. Of course, she could have had the guns secure from use. For self defense in her home a pistol or a double barrel would have sufficed. I think she was very negligent with her weapons. Now the 2nd Ammendment is gonna take a beating over her carelessness.

Don't understand how you can deal with anybody that is set to take their own life.
Only way you could of dealt with him is to of shot him before he could shoot again and take anybody else's life

She used to take him and other kids out shooting. She liked guns and had several including the Bushmaster assault rifle he used in the school shooting. What in the world was she thinking even taking the little mental ***** out target practicing for.

I have delt with people with specials needs for many years now ,& some parients try to help them over come it by treating then as normal as there siblings, we will never know what set the young man over the edge ,I belive we are all born with a death date no matter how or when it' comes , we lost our second oldest son backin 88 at just 16 years old to a gun shot in the face right place wrong time , so I have a good idea of what all the paients are going through & my heart goes out to them , just because the kid had a mentel problum does not meen the mother knew he would have done this sad but true

That's true Cowboy and very sorry about your other son. If the kid had an anger issue than that's another thing. Hard for us to judge but I know if I had a kid that did have any anger issues I would lock the guns up. I bought a safe for mine and keep them locked, mostly for theft issues. When I was young I did have guns in the house and in the night stand. I found out years later that my daughter had opened the drawer but never took it out. Still scared me when I thought about it. We get the grandkids over a lot so guns are locked up.
