I had a SERT on my last bike and had it dynoed. I wasn't happy with it.
I know you know that Steve Cole used to make the SERT for Harley. He wanted to make some changed and HD said NO. So he broke away from them and opened TTS Master Tune.
Now the new Super Sert is made by Kent Moore. I hear it tuned easier then the original sert. But it still needs to by dynoed. So all the dyno time is where everybody is making the money, but to make the programs run to optimum pwrformance that's what you need to do for it to work properly.

I talked to the folks at Vance and Hines and they said the Fuel Pack was for when you want to change yer pipes and air kit only. It will work with other pipes but is shows all Vance and Hines pipes. The pipe I have they said they would need to reprogram the unit.
I told them I was going to change the cam. They told me under no circumstances to use their unit.

Arlen Ness Big Shot is made by Techlusion. Techlusion used to be with Dyno Jet Power Commander.
They told me they could program it for my pipes, and my air kit and the cams I had in my bike. and if i wanted to go to a 103 they needed to reporgram it.

I just sold my Thundermax I took off the 07 Wide Glide I had. Put it on a 07 Deuce and the dude said he can tell he don't have to downshift as much when he starts up a hill and it cranks easier.

With the Thundermax it comes with maps so yo can reload the map for the changes you made and clear the IAC codes and it used the oxygen sensors and tunes the bike with Wide Band oxygen sensors as you ride.
On the WG I had it improved my fuel milage not to mention the power it gave me.
The Thundermax is the best tuner I have used on the market barr none.
I have a buddy that has been with Zippers since like 84 in Alabama where I'm from. He turned me on to TM A/T

I know they are expensive, but you git a whole ECM, new wide band oxygen sensors and a cord for programmin. And it will Tune itself.
You save money in the long run and its easy to install.
I've been waiting for a year for TM to release a new unit for the 08 Touring where HD changed from Cable throttle to Drive By Wire and HD changed the ECM plug.

I tried to corner the boys from ThunderMax out in Sturgis and get them to let me know when they would habve a setup for the '08 touring models with the throttle by wire. I could not get an answer from them. I think they were hoping Harley would drop it on the '09 bikes. Harley didn't drop it so I think they will come out with something shortly for the '08-'09 models.

Got a Buddy that programs computers that drive ships around the whole world that was at Sturgis, They told him they had it in Beta testing during that time and was going to try to release it December or January.
They want to git as many bugs out of it as they can cause they know if it has any problems we will be cryin.
Thunderheart that works with Zippers on the Thundermax is good people too.

Well for those of you who do not know me I work at TTS and we designed and manufactured the SERT and several other products for HD. Many updates that we wanted to do were turned down repeatedly by HD so that is why the product did not grow as it should have. That being said we will be releasing our tuning software for the HD bikes to the public in the end of Feb. first part of March. The product works on windows 98 and newer platforms and yes it's windows Vista compatible. It will look and feel like the SERT as it has always been owned by TTS but there are several upgrades being added for the first release. As many of you have figured out having files on the net is no big deal but that was something HD refused when we proposed it 2 years ago. As people send in files we will update our site with them but it's up to you the customers to send them to us for posting. The first release will get some pretty nice changes that I cannot speak about just yet but rest assured it will make tuning your Delphi HD bike much simpler and quicker than anything on the market. One feature I can tell you about is the ability to take a copy of a calibration that is currently on your bike, just plug in and upload the current calibration from the bike and save it to your PC. If at any time you want, you can simply program that file back into the bike as you have a copy of it. As the new product gets closer to release I will post all it's new features. The SERT was and always has been a product of TTS. Just look under "help" and "about" in every copy of the software ever sold. We manufactured both the hardware and software. HD has never owned it. Up until last year there were agreements in place that no longer apply so we are taking the product to the public and it will be marketed as a TTS product once again. If you do some searching you would find we've been manufacture tuning and logging software since the late 80's early 90's. The product will revert back to the original names of Mastertune and DataMaster. Ever wonder why the file ext's were .MTx and DMx? Now you know why. The current product (SERT) can be run with both applications on the screen at once and you can simply "click" from one window to the other as this is a standard feature in windows. We have no involvement in the new tuner that HD will be selling. The maps on our site are a free service that we provide for anyone to download and use. It's a clearing house of maps for our products but it's up to you the public how good it becomes. As stated before I cannot get into everything that will be coming in our first public release but rest assured there are many improvements with many more to follow in future releases. Everything we've wanted to do for over 2 years is in the works but it will not all come out in the first release as it would take to long to complete it all. Any purchaser of our new TTS product will be able to update to the latest software free of charge. This is something we've wanted since we first started selling through HD back in 2002 but again they refused to move forward with much of anything other than to add the next model year for coverage to the product.

So here it is, when you want to quit playin with all the cheaper tunres and going to have your bike dynoed. Spend the money one time and git you a Thundermax.

Its the single best thing you can do to yer scoot. It uses the oxygen sensors and will make yer bike run better. All you have to do to tune it is to ride the bike. It will take about 500 miles for a tune.
Mabe just mabe I can git one for my bike in 2 months.

I see in the December Hot Bike Magazine the bike has a Thundermax EFI controller on a 08 Road Glide,
So my question is why can't I have one.

Go buy a Power Commander or a Sert, not take it and have it dynoed.
See how much money you spend. Now make some changes to yer bike and have it dynoed again and add that to the original cost.

You should be able to find the TM a little cheaper than 900.00 if you go threw a dealer.

    2008 Road King Classic Confusion

:banghead: I own a '08 Road King Classic. I am running a SESuperTuner, Bassani Power Curve Duals, Arlen Ness Big Sucker, and Rush Slip-Ons with 2-1/2" Baffles. The stealership I used had it running so rich it burned the wrapping on the baffles to a crisp and fowled the plugs. So I have tuned it myself. Not bad, but still not happy with it, but it does sound good. If someone could provide a good map I would sure appreciate it before I go and put this Power Commander on my bike. If I could get a good map, I would return the Power Commander or get my money back, If that is even possible. But I want my baby running on all 96 cubic inches. I know it is capable of almost 100 ft/lbs of torque. The stealership told me all they could get was 72 ft/lbs at 68 hp. That blows. So please help the Iceman. I would appreciate it. I do have the plugs to terminate the O2 sensors if that helps. I lost about 100 miles per tank before fuel up. So I went from about 50 miles per gallon to about 33 miles per gallon. If I could get around 40-45 that would be great. When the bike is idling, and you give it a little gas and let off it is quick to respond but acts like it is not getting enough fuel, it wains and then picks back up. I don't know how to explain that. Just need some help for my scoot. Thank you very much.

HD prides themselves from the factory that their bike gits near 50 miles to a gallon. The bike runs so hot it will burn yer leg off. The new bikes with the computers and narrow band oxygen sensors operate in closed loop and can adjust for altitute a little.
As soon as you put the original sert, or the new super sert, pr PCIII or the TTS mastertune on you force it into open loop and it can't use all of the sensors to adjust anything. Its on a set program. If you dynoed it early in the mornin and it was 68* and yer at altitude 1200ft. The unit is set for these parameters. If it gits hotter during the day or if you go up in altitude yer not programmed for these conditions.
If yer bike is new and had new pipes on it, its also tuned for the way the reverbsion in the mufflers are. When they wear the reverbsion changes and this also effects the tuning.
This is another reason I like the Thundermax with Auto Tune. It may cost more, but it is a closed loop tuner and can adjust for all these conditions.
It will also give you more power and better fuel milage.
If you take the Thundermax to a advanced thundermax tuner, its only a plus for you.:D

Got to take a class a few weeks ago in Houston, Tx. on the Thundermax. Got us set up as a dealer. They are coming out with the unit for the 08 Touring bikes around the 3rd week of January. They have them on Beta testin bikes now. They want to make sure they work well.
The units for the 08 bikes should be blue tooth.
They are going to have a small increase in price on the units.
In the class they stressed installation, installation, installation.
When installing the TMAT make sure the o2 sensor is not touching any metal on the bike. try to not have the wire comin out of the back of the sensor bent more than a 90*. Try to match the base program as close to the cam you have in yer bike as possible. The cam is what match's yer timing on the program.
2in1 pipes tune better than true duals also.

As far as I know the Tmax is supposed to come out end of may or early june. Hope they are on time. I've talked with a salesman and am on the wait list. Hate to spend the money but it looks like the only tuner that will work correctly for my application. Hope they come out on time.
