I had that exact buckle. Well it's plastic and after a couple months the tounge part that slips into the femal part of the buckle broke off. "went for the steal one. Not as clean looking but much stronger.

I have the steel one on a few other helmets. Thing I don't like about them is getting them connected. That small metal male point that connects into the female part is lets say frustrating at times.

You wouldn't be talking from experience, would you, LOL. Howzabout this hat? 20140413_1 (640x480).jpg Speaking of D-rings, I like mine. So, it takes a few extra seconds to hook 'em up but I don't mind - what's the hurry? The plastic buckle style ones will break after a while.

You guys like your long hair I say go for it. If I could grow hair on my head I would be right there with you.
Would like to know Josh, how do you get away with that as a teacher.

Because I'm percieved as a valuable asset to the academy, and also as an eccentric. I suppose there are teachers and some kids who don't like it, but I've never cared much what other people think or say.

So far, no one has asked me to cut it.
