Temps went to the 60's today and my club had the 11th annual Easter toy run to a local children's ward in a hospital. Wore the Neotec. Pleasantly happy with it. Since I mostly wear open face 3/4 in cooler weather and shorty on warm weather it's gonna take some getting used to. Shouldn't take too long I used to wear a full face back in the crotch rocket 80's.

I have heard that those full face helmets can be heavy as well as pricy. My 3/4 from Lick's weighs less than two pounds with a full face shield and cost about $100. Full face helmets have also been known to protect the head and face very well but will break your neck in a wreck at highway speeds.

Full faced helmets are to hot on even a somewhat warm day.

You got that right, buddy! One of the things I really like about our forum is that we can banter back and forth about our preferences about equipment and so forth and have fun with it. The respect factor here for other's opinions is very high - not what you can expect from the world at large - and that's what keeps me coming back to Bike Talk.

I was riding the other day and parked next to a guy at a gas station who had a Shoei Neotec full face helmet. It was a hot day so I asked him about it. He was putting it on and I thought it looked way too big for his head (reminded me of Rick Moranis playing Darth Vadar LOL) - but he said he really liked it, that it wasn't hot and that it fit good. He was riding a nice Road Glide with all the trimmings, heading out west somewhere - I hope he makes it. He was a bit skeptical of my 3/4 helmet .

What you get when you buy a good Shoei Helmet like the Neotec
Is the helmet is aerodynamically designed. Meaning it works well in the wind. Helping it not push your head as much.
When you get a helmet as good as the Neotec it has to be broken in.
But this helmet breaks in good and feels good on your face.
I like to ride with the clear face shield up.
You will have to learn how to open the air vents for air flow. Close em in the winter and open them in the summer.
You can wear your sunglasses and if you head into the sun it has a flip down pair of sun glasses in it.
You are gonna have to wear it to get used to it.
In the winter it has a anti lock fog shield build into it.
But try to breath threw your nose when the clear face shield is closed.
And don't close it till you are moving.
You got no idea how much you breath hard till you close it.
It is Very good in the winter of keeping you head warm.
And if it rains. you cal close the clear shield to keep the rain off your face and out of your eyes.
You Can't imagine how great of a helmet the Neotec it till you wear one and get used to it.
If you do not wear it you can't get used to it either.
Go to a cycle gear. try one on and find out what size you wear.
Got the OL's at Cycle gear. I want one now.
I have a Shoei qwest Full face helmet.
Can't raise the front and spit or talk to anybody.

But take care of the helmet. Keep the clear face shield clean.
Cycle gear carries new shield is you mess one up by dropping it
And the Shoei Helmet is a little lighter than a lot of other helmets.

Hope I'm never forced to have to wear a full face helmet. Still like my half helmet the best.

I have a Shoei full face flip helmet but really don't like wearing it, not even when it's raining.

This is only one of the reasons I have to limit uv exposure as much as possible on my mug. It's ugly enough I don't need more holes.

Man when I got home yesterday my face was all red from sun and wind. Felt hot, took a shower and all is better.

We don't have a helmet law here, I started wearing a modular helmet last year, took some time to get used to it, now I bypass all the other helmets and go start to it, keeps my hair and beard tangle free,
