There are probably more guns bought and sold by private individuals than registered dealers, and that's fine by me. Also, as American citizens, we should NOT be required to report these sales to govt. for several reasons: constitutional right to bear arms; prevent govt. from tracking all weapons; keeps govt. in check if they ever want to confiscate ALL weapons (and they WILL try some day in future); unregistered guns keep govt. in check in event they ever want to institute marshal law for take-over. Egypt today, Soviet Union, Nazi Germany are only a few examples of countries that gave up right for citizens to have guns.

These crimes are inevitable because our society has degraded due to poor justice system and lack of immigration standards (yes I know this time was a white guy). The wackos will always find a means to cause havoc. I think we should all be carrying today for self protection. The govt. WILL NOT be there to help you when you need it.

The laws favor the criminal, penalties are a joke and crime does pay...They need to make the punishment hurt...For example, if your caught texting or on a phone and your driving why not make the fine $1,000.00 instead of $150.00? That will make you think twice...Better yet...Lets do what progressive countries like Switzerland, Finland, Germany, France and others are doing...Base the fines on gross income...For example, if a person with a yearly income of a million dollars were to be caught speeding, a $100 fine is not of great consequence to that person. On the other hand, if a person with a yearly income of $20,000 were to be caught speeding, that $100 would be a matter of greater consequence to them...Recently a Ferrari driver in Switzerland was fined $290,000.00

Supposedly Ray LaHood our Secretary of Transportation is looking at this but I do not think with our current goubermint it will go anywhere...Nice to dream though...

Dang Marc are you a card carrying SEIUunion member of the uber leninist liberal obama supporter group???? yer scarin me... twice in one thread you've espoused some of the worst views of Americans in this day and age...

Oh so we should have laws based on income disparity,
a nice socialist enclave where the wealthy are punshed at a greater
rate than the poor, simply because they are wealthy.

Bullshidt keep that wealth envy in France,

BTW your wealth envy program in France - raised the tax rate to 70%
on the richest, guess what, They LEFT! no longer live there and are trying to
sell off property, right now there are hundreds of chalets for sale as vacation homes.

Are you having a mad dash of horrible wealthy speeders running through Noo Joisey terrorising poor Hyundai and Kia drivers on the toll roads, badgering and causing death, distruction and general havoc in NJ.

No you are not, it's nothing more than wealth envy, I can't have an F40 so the guy that does needs to pay more for his coffee, tickets, parking, plates, shoes, tires, tax rate should be double mine, I hate that guy, he made money, I don't have as much, gimmmesomefreeshidtdamnit!

This wealth envy stuff is absolutely a socialist hate crime devised purely of the liberal mind set that wealth is bad...

LOL...No, not a union member...Has nothing to do with wealth envy...What I am trying to say is that you have to make the fines hurt...If it doesn't hurt what good is it? I think the current system does not do that because is not equitable...Here is an example I used on another board and possibly on this one a few weeks ago...This happened in Ohio involving InfoCision Management Corp. a telemarketing company that specializes in raising $$ for non-profit organizations like the American Cancer Society (ACS) and others...The daughter of the assistant attorney general for Ohio received a call from someone saying they were with the ACS and asking for a donation... She put dad on the phone and he said fine but how much goes to ACS? Over 70% was the reply....He had his office do some work and the chit hit the fan...The people that called were not from ACS but InfoCision Management Corp. and not even 50% goes to ACS...InfoCision Management Corp. received 52% or $221 million of the $425 million they raised...They went to court, said verry little and paid a $75,000 fine or 0.03% of what they made...What a fricking joke...Chalk it up to the cost of doing business...No hurt there, still made a great profit...Business as usual...Well InfoCision Management Corp. did not learn from their lesson and someone actually called the administrative assistant of the assistant attorney general for Ohio looking for a donation for another organization...Almost the exact same thing happened except the proposed fine which is sizeable and being challenged would set them back quite a bit...In other words...Big hurt...This is the point I am trying to get accross...

I still see it as pure wealth envy and redistribution, if you're for this kind of eurotrash fine system then one would support the obama tax the rich bullshidt plan. Nothing more than wealth envy we know it won't help raise money for anything enough to help.

Penalize the successfull and they are smart, they'll just move...

NJ has $500 speeding fine for you based on income, move to Noo Yawk...
then your income taxes take a million buck hit but you got that $20000 fine.

Did that to me and I'd leave the state in a second taking my company
jobs and tax revenue right across the state line where I could do burnouts
in the parking lot in view of the Noo Joisey tax revenoorers LOL

I don't see how the two scenarios play out, and I don't agree with the fine
because the money will go to the state of ohio and it's just a telemarket call
yeah they are missrepresenting, so fine them $75K is plenty, if they do it again make it $150 or pull the license to operate in the state hitting them with a massive fine.

Again that's got nothing to do with taxing Joey Soprano for running down the turnpike at 120 in a ferrari, hows he any less dangerous than Afro T Johnson in his stolen BMW doing 100 with a glock 40 a bottle of malt and high on crack...

Check my record. No fines or no tickets on it Period
That is what a lawyer will do for you
Pay the ticket, git it put on yer record. Now when the man pulls you over he sees it. Hes more likely to write you another ticket.
Your insurance rates can go up from it. It can effect your credit rating.
I will spend the money for a mouth piece and cost the city as much money as I can. If I can't I will ask to do my time in Jail to pay the fines.
I DO NOT WISH TO REWARD ANY CITY FOR WRITTING TICKETS
I Do want to cost them time and money.
City's write tickets to raise revenue.
Their problem is the more money they git the more they want.
The city needs to cut spending so much money. And fine ways to do it.
I do not have a open pocket book, Neither should they.

    Somebody did.

There is a democrat Oregon legislator from Portland who has already started procedures to ban all semi- auto assault rifles in Oregon. :banghead::cussing:

Heck, it's only the cost of a decal. :D And I bet it would make a potential robber/killer think twice about entering that building.
