    Y'all are a mess!:roflmao:

Hey, the ol' shovel starts much easier now. I think the leak is getting a bit worse at the cam cover. It's the only leak left to fix. Oil leaks out the wire hole at the bottom and messes up my rear exhaust pipe. Gets on my jeans, too. I've "fixed" this twice already. Not sure if I should replace the cam or the bushing or both or what . . .

Wouldn't make sense just replacing the seal again.

Should mention that the last time I replaced that seal, I accidently drilled into the edge of the cover trying to get the old seal out. I put JB weld into the area, shaping it with a piece of the old seal and then let it dry overnight before installing the new seal. Like I said before, it doesn't leak as bad as it did, so I think the JB weld repair is okay. It's a very small amount. Seat of the pants technology. I hated the thought of buying another polished cam cover for so small a thing.

Well, next week, looks like Tattoo and I are going to take a look and see why my cam seal is still leaking. Gonna try and get it resolved by next Saturday as there is a Biker Brotherhood meet in Greenville. Never been to one of those, but Tony says there should be a lot of old iron there. His shovel has been down for months and he's hoping he'll be ready as well. We plan on riding to the event with 2 or 3 other guys. Should be fun and there will be pictures!

Yup, looking forward to it. I'm going to let the oil leak slide for now as school has started up today and there's no time to get the seals and (just in case) a bushing and do the install. There's no hurry.

Just came back from a night ride. Don't do many of those. Saw a deer off the side of the road - it ran off into the woods - I don't think it liked the sound of my shovel. Man, it was buggy out there! Washed several out of my beard when I got home. Great fun!:D
