I have cold started this ol' thang when it was in the low 40s outside. Oil sorta felt like I was kicking through molasses. I'm gonna look on J&P's site and see if I can find a clip on link. Hadn't thought about getting the wheel off. Thanks.

It was the only one available in "gold", the color of my chain. It's a universal fit for o-ring chains. We'll see . . . Should be here in a few days.

Only thing left to do besides the chain is time the beast. I'm waiting for warmer temps. Maybe tomorrow, cause it's supposed to get up to the low 50s.

By the middle of next week we will have temps from the low 60s to around 70 by Wednesday. Hope to be in the wind by then, boys!

hmmm, universal.usually means" fits nothing in the known universe".a M/C should always be from the same maker, for the same model chain (there are ALOT of 530 O-ring chains)

LOL. Okay, the chain is a Regina 530 (touring - naked), and made in Italy. My home boys. I suppose that means I can tour naked if I want? :roflmao:.

I will check the numbers on the box online and get back to ya.

I looked at all the Regina links and my chain is not listed anywhere. Nor is there a box that has the photo like mine does. On the front of the box is a pic of a yellow crotch rocket and rider with a yellow & black checkerboard design in the background. Interesting. My chain # is: 530 ORT/130 (professional touring - naked) - couldn't find it anywhere.

On the backside of the box are instructions in Italian. No English. Hmm.

I guess that was a slight exaggeration! But $16 for a link does sound exorbitant, doesn't it?

You can be sure I tried, but nobody had one. My indy doesn't stock very many parts. He orders stuff as needed.

Besides, o-ring M/L for the gold chains are $7 to $8 anywhere online. I just went with J&P because they're fast. I should be getting it any day.
