Fishing is big business up on this lake. These are all put out by the resorts around the lake. In the summer the have big launch s that will take out 20 people fishing.

Was greeted this morning by about 1/2 to 3/4 inch of ice on the driveway and vehicle this morning. It hit last night sometime after midnight. Roads were good though - mainly chunk / slush ice. That's nothing compared to weather that would ice a lake over but it still can hold my attention. I chipped enough ice from in front of my truck so I could keep it "aimed" at the driveway outlet. Got to work and folks asked "Did you ride today?" cause they all know how much I love to ride and how much I'll tolerate cold weather just for the ride. Told them "No, Harley ain't come out with good studded tires yet". This is all supposed to move out by mid morning and then fair up a bit. Supposed to be cloudy and cold Saturday so hopefully I'll get to log a few miles on the bike.:D:D:D

Well its going to be sunny here with only a high of 48F Better than ice or snow (I hate black ice or ice period) and a whole lot better than all that rain we had that produced that Tornado.

I lived in Cleveland as a boy. That picture reminded me of how the Cuyahoga River would sometimes freeze over. Right now it's sleeting here; hate that stuff.

Haha! My inlaws up there tell me the river and Lake Erie are once again pristine enough to swim in. No more fires or pollution. Still wouldn't catch me in it, though I did swim in the lake in the early 50's. Because of the unions and the EPA, the steel mills moved away and that's why there's no pollution anymore. Put a lot of folks out of work. Mac the Wife tells me a lot of the mills moved to Georgia.

Did you get to go to your daughter's program? It's so neat to watch your kids grow. Enjoy her and do everything you can with her. One day she'll leave the nest and ..............

Grandkids! No, no, I'm not ready for that. I have a hard time accepting that she will be 12 in January. She has grown way to fast but it is amazing the person that she has become and is becoming.

Yeah the best part of it is that I picked the right one to have kids with. :D

Dmassey, yes we were able to make it to her choir. It was awesome. I asked if there was another one and she said just one more. She looked sort of bummed out. She is such a great young woman, and smart too, she is getting a 3.6 GPA.

Yea, she already makes comments of the wedding dresses that she sees in the window of the bridal shop. It will be fun but that's still one of my babies. I just hope all my girls think smart about the guys they choose, I don't want to see them go through past stuff that I did. I think Johnny and I are a good team! :D

I've noticed this is how it goes. My mom lets them get away with things that I would have been told no too! She says it's different :) It will just be really weird to be a grandma, it's really weird growing older and when I was younger I never sat and thought of the path of life as you grow older.
