Went and looked at a XDM 45 toay, very nice piece, they wanted 649.00
Looked at a XD in 45 and it was 529.00. Bulkier and a bit bigger, the XDM has the match barrel.

I would go XD you don't need a match barrel unless you are
going to shoot for trophies LOL

Nice to have but you'll be accurate enough with an XD
JMO I'd go for a 9mm over 45, more bullets is always better

    And 9mm is $18 a box of 100 at Y'allmart

I have a Beretta model 928 in 9mm, very nice shape.
Have wanted a 45 for some time now. My Beretta is made in the USA where the Springfield is not:(

Man you will be suprissed at how well and accurate after shootin it a few times that pistol shoots.
Neighbor behind me is a springfield freak.
And I know why, I really like Springfield, has a double safety.
    They are super nice pistols.
    I like the XDM 45
Like the size of it too.
My buddy's Springfields comes with a plastic holster to put on yer belt.
    Nice for carrying it.
You should shoot one. If you shoot it everbody can hear it
If you hit somebody with a piece of lead that big. They will be down.Think if'n I remember right mine is shootin 230 grain bullets.
