    Ok Guys

After doing some tests for intake leaks. I pulled the carb again. Inspected all the gaskets including on the back of the carb. After re-installing it I dialed it in 3.5 turns out on the mixture screw and low and behold no carb farting and very minimal decel pops.
I am waiting for the sportster needle I ordered and will take the thunder slide out and install the oem slide in (which I polished). One question- should I use the oem sping?

    Thank You
    You guys rock

:roflmao::roflmao: Ditch the thunderslide spring!! Use only CVP parts in the carb along with OEM slide and spring.

    Hey Brother

So last night I took the carb apart again.
I went with the OEM slide which i polished and the sporty needle.
I took the .48 slow jet out and put a .46 in from cv performance with the 195 main jet.
After a test ride these are my findings.

The sweet spot on the mixture screw is now 2.5 - 23/4 turns compaired to 3.1/8 to 33/4
turns with the .48 slow speed jet.

Throttle response feels really good and it pulls stronger from 2000 rpm.
Going on a 200 mile trip this weekend to a rat rod show in terryvill CT.

Will keep you posted Thanks for your input.
You don't think the .46 is too small even with the 37g cam?
Seems to run bad ass though :)

    Later bro

    Peter

No I don't think that the 46 is too small. IF the bike is making power when you need it that is all that matters. If you go too large it will just drown out the engine and can lose power and you will have issues. Ride it like this for this trip that you have coming up, keep track of your gas mileage. :D:cool: Glad to hear that you have your bike up to your standards. I hope we didn't cost you too much money.. LOL:D
