If what you are saying is so, then thats pretty good.

So you're replacing the HD ECM with a Thundermax ECM?

Hmm, the way CB is explaining it, it almost sounds like a piggy back like the Power Commander. I'm sure HRK can explain it.

As for your HD dealer knowing you, that's great I have the same relationship with my Dealer like that but they only recommend the Harley tuner, because I'm still under warranty. The other thing you might need to be concerned with is if you have an aftermarket tuner on your bike and your still under Warranty and your traveling across the country then having to go into A HD dealer with motor problems. I know there are some really great tuners out there and if your not under warranty then I think the fine. Now this is good discussion.

Yep, but you will need pipes that will accept 18mm sensors too. For the WB o2 sensors.
And it will require you to learn the program, unless you order it from TM with a map allready in it.
Then you may need to learn the program and get some folks that know it better than you to help you work with the map.
But whatever you do to your bike you can stay with the TM
Only thing is the Dealer might not like it.

If that is so I see aftermarket piggy backing as a future potential problems and the one you mention is also a good point. With a SE tuner you're nation wide.

The problem with the SE tuner is finding somebody that can properly tune it.
Finding a good tuner can be tough.
I've had SE tuners, and had nothin but problems with them.
    A HD download was better.
But According to what you do to your bike a HD download will not work for it.

When I have mine done I'm gonna have to ride 800 miles to Charleys Harleys in Huntington,WV to have it dialed in. We lost our top mechanic here locally to them. It'll be worth it.

Kinda far to have to have your bike dynoed.
Another reason I don't have a Race tuner.

Before I drove 800 miles , I would call Jamie with Fuelmoto and talk to him about a Power Vision.
I have not used one, but I've been hearing a lot about it.
    I just like the TM.
If I had the ability of Hotroadking I might look at a TTS tuner.

Worth it to me...get to see an old friend and take a road trip too. Staying with MOCO stuff in all ways possible.

They're reputable tuners close nearby but this guys a personal friend and he's been hooking a brother up since I started coming back to dealerships in 2007. Good, smart knowledgeable kid. Only a phone call away.

A lot of folks are trying to take a lot of Moco stuff.
    Moco stuff is EPA.
The first thing I did was to take as much EPA stuff off my bike.
When it gets to the point I can't I will not buy another new bike.
I will leave them for the EPA to buy.
Or folks that do want to comply

Going MOCO in all things possible these days. Been on HD's for 35+ years and been both ways...anti OEM/MOCO for a long time in all things harley bikes and now pro OEM/MOCO in all things harley bikes including oil, plugs etc.... By comparrison I think generally speaking that dealerships for the most part and with exceptions have come along way to being customer friendly. in the late 70's early '80's and on...not so much. Not sure when it started getting good as I only came back to them in 2007. My experience since 2007 has been majoritively excellent. And I'm a ***** about my money and services rendered.

HD would cease to exist if they didn't EPA comply. Its not a choice of preference. EPA compliance is not voluntary for corporations. If you need to rebel against someone/something rebel against congress/senate and the folks who mandate this stuff.

The EPA shut down the 7.3 powerstrokes
I think they have too much control
And cost everybody too much money

I'm not sure what the EPA's agenda is...helping future generations for cleaner environment or lining the pockets of business men and politicians? Not sure if its a necessary evil or not?

I agree with you about the motor company.

I think the EPA is a little bit both ways. There are some who definitely are getting their pockets lined.

Here are the dudes that lobbied for Ethanol in Gas.
Al Gore started talkin about it, but now admits he made a mistake with it.

Not impressed with Al Gore and thats the politest thing I can say about him, him in the ex Governor Dean. Sometimes I feel like we are a nation doomed because it seems to be all special interest money.
