Bottom line. see if you have a great tuner in yer area and go from there.
I went with the TM and have had to learn a lot about it and go ask for help with technical forums.

Most all tuners I think are good. What it boils down to is getting a good tuner as they all need to be tuned to your bike. Mine is running great so no need to learn anything. Don't have a need to change anything on the bike so should be set.:)

I'm okay with taking a road trip to Huntington WV. Combination visit and dialing in my bike.

Installing the TTS Master Tune will not void your warrenty. And Dyno Tunes are a money pit for dealers.:puke: They max your engine, burn a couple a 1000 miles of rubber off your rear tire and then tell you sorry we got it as close as we can.:gah:
The TTS Master Tune was designed to adjust timing, fuel/air mixer, and not age your engine or rear tire. Plus it allows you to store your factory settings to a computer or flash drive. For the computer challenged brothers on this forum. A six pac and a few favors for a computer wise friend with a lap top will help. I recommend the six pac after the tune up:roflmao:
I also recommend buying the TTS that will tune two bikes and split the cost with a close friend. All you need to decide is who gets to keep the tuner.:fight:

Some folks dont give much credit to the V&H FuelPak, but I opted for it's simplicity because these guys know a few things about racing engines and just making your engine run better in general, so I trust their settings. Also, not everyone wants to spend $1,000 on a tuner, and another bundle for someone to dial it all in. If you're not building the whole motor to Stage 4 or 5, why spend all that money?

V&H just needs to know what air filter and exhaust system you're using, and they send a sheet with the proper numbers to enter. Installation took about 15 minutes and made a huge difference in power, smoothness, and fuel econ. plus it completely eliminated the popping and backfire. I never had it dyno'd, but I guesstimate these changes added about 40 ponies, and it runs like velvet. Good enough for less than $200.

I came up with the estimate of 40 hp because my bike (stock 96 motor) could now outrun my friend's CVO StreetGlide with the 110 motor. Now the best part: since it only makes adjustments to half throttle or more, your fuel mileage remains good if you're not running it wide open all the time. I kid you not....I'm getting 55 mpg most of the time!

    I believe ya,
most believe what the dealer tells em and opt for a tuner, I Agree with alex the dog, all I did was a air cleaner and slip on mufflers, i did a stage one down load and it starts and runs great and I get excellent fuel mileage. Most dealers won't tell costumers about the down loads cause they don't cost enough to make the dealer money. JMO

Well for me it's proven to be an excellent way to go with the Race Tuner as they had a download they did for Maddog that was excellent. Had to get the tuner to down the program. It has worked great in my CVO bike.

How much do you think all that will cost? Lets see:
    Master Tune kit..$500
    Dyno time.......... 250/hr
    Technician......... 125/hr
    trip to tuner....... $$$$
    _______________________
    minimum = $1,000
    more likely $2,000

    versus V&H Fuelpak (e-bay) = $189

hmmmmmm.....that leaves at least $911 for beer and pizza

    TSS Master Tuner... $500
    Dyno Time..... Not needed
    Technician..... Not needed
    Total..... $500

    V&H Fuelpak..... $189
Tow truck when Fuelpak fails... $$$$

Get my beer and pizza quicker and no V&H Fuelpak to leave me stranded.

I've had mine on the bike for over 90,000 trouble-free miles. Will see how long yours lasts.

    Question,
If the fuel pak was to quit wouldn't the ecm just take back over as in stock setting?
If so wouldn't any add on tuner do the same?
