Well there is one big difference.
During ROT, its HOT as Hell outside. And during the lonestar rally its not.
It was in the 60's to 70's during the day time.
We was lucky we didn't have rain.

And on my medicine it says to STAY OUT OF THE SUN.

Its hard for me to go to a Rally when its 100* outside and its 250 miles from the house and traffic is the worst you can ask for on I-35.

I hear you. Better for your bike, too, not having to run in triple digit sun.

Theres no way in Hell I would take my bike down the strand at the lone star rally stupid riders & even worst then that the darn people standing in the road blocking it up & the riders of all makes of bikes hitting the top Revs there engine will do , or doing a burn out with all the bikes & people within inches of each other , This is the only rally I've been to 20 miles from home , nice eye candy but more tourist then riders , good venders all over , young parents pushing strollers with babys or carring then kids what a tourist trap anymore ,

Cowboy you should try Main Street in Sturgis when it's in full swing.

That is what people go to the strand for Holmes.'
To see the bikes riding up and down the strand. It cost them 10.00 a day to do it.
This is where the women will be on the bikes showing their boobies.
    And walking around showing them.
This is one of the biggest places to buy all kinds of food, and beer or mixed drinks

Its one big show there with the masks and helmets they wear .
    Its when the party starts.
They don't care if they mess their bikes up. They are there to put a show on.

I don't get bringing dogs or kids much less kids in strollers

all the kids see is ass, and I don't mean the kind CB wants to see
in chaps in a thong, they are stuck looking at ol CB's behind,
and locked in a stroller. Its more about the parents than the kids.

Dogs ears are sensitive and you put them down there with the dipshits
    that rev the bikes,

Daytona used to be full of dipsticks that did burnouts on main but
they stopped that stuff, you can cruise main but do a burn out and
johnny law is going to be talking with you while writing a ticket...

No money flow problems in Daytona,
plenty of people show have a great time,
see some boobies, some on chests
    some on bikes...

We just got rid of the dumbasses, watched
several guys dump bikes, hurt people, one dude
ran over some folks in front of him showing off
a burn out, anther dumped his OL off the back
not letting her know he was dumping the clutch
    on main street.

All for a good time, but don't need the jackwagon showoffs.

We have burn out booths for them, pop a tire there...
nobody gets hurt. Even get a few V8 bikes in them...

no restrictions on kids but it's just an observation
wouldn't take my kids or grandkids in a stroller

I was on the strand , parked a block away & walked over after the sun went down , dogs ,Kids in strollers , eye candy aka women with bear chest walking around ,darn people standing right in the middle of the street some getting hit with handle bars & dumb asz riders hitting the high revs ,it's there engines , or there asz if a clutch handle slips out of there fingers & run over the dumb asz in there way , fun yes 8,9,10 oclock at night is not the place for the dogs & kids & standing if front or a bike hitting the high revs , I stood on the side walk with a cold Bud watching the fools I have gone every year except one & I go all four days/nights , 20 miles from home

Well I never said I didn't have a good time , & there's no room to ride down the strand to darn many idiots in the middle of the street , not to mention the trolly tracks on there at one end ,YES I had a good time , but there seems to be as many if not more tourist then bikers ,no matter what type of bike they ride , hence me saying it's getting to be just another tourist trap , now read slow so you'll understand what's coming out of my fingers LMAO

What i'm reading is an OLD FART complaining about what the new kids are doing.
And people coming to see them. I didn't see many tourists.
I seen people come to eat, drink party and watch the bikes.

And I really don't want to see some Old Chic come and take her top off dude.

I want to see the young chics that are nice looking. And want to show what they have. They enjoy showing it.
When I see it its like a Deer with a headlight on him. I'm blinded by it.

They did just that with the myrtle beach rally because of all the trouble with the black bike week. So both suffered the actions of the one. Kinda bullsh*t they wouldn't just hold the black bike week accountable for the Excessive fights, murders, theft etc...

I think I have finally realized who CB reminds me of. That cartoon character in Keeping up with Jones.
