I am uninspired. But at the same time I am not in the market for a new bike.

Maybe I should do the HOG design thing. Go anti chrome. Start with a Nightrain and go 103 and darker. Fun.

The 103 and the ABS appeal to me as I'm having right shoulder, neck and wrist problems. It's a safety thing eh? 103 for getting around slower traffic, Cruise for taking the stress off the right wrist and ABS for making up for the right wrist/age degeneration on controlling the brakes on the bike..:)

Yea, tell me about it I damaged a rotator cup in my left shoulder back in 07. I was stuck in a crawl space and finally forced my way out damaging it. The dang thing has been flaring up the last two months even making it hard to ride. Went to the Doc yesterday morn. and she gave me a big injection of Cortisone into the shoulder area and socket. Yes, it hurt like heck and now feels like my shoulder is bruised. Still did a full home inspection this morning. Can't bring the arm all the way up or reach over to scratch my right arm. So I can relate.
Still don't like the Road Glide fairing looks. Myself I would go for the limited with the 103 in it.

Well today I was at the dealer and I had a chance to take a look at the 011 bikes. Well, I would have to say that the blue that they came out with is actually not that bad. I had a chance to see the new Street Glide and they did do different things to it, but nothing major. basically they just change the seat, which I like because it is a narrower seat and I probably would not have to lower it in order for me to feel comfy on it. (Short Inseam and all). There are some softtails that do have the option of the ABS. That is pretty cool.

Lot of technical changes, specifically in the engine, no more brass bushings in the rods or cam plates, also they have changed the fuse system to a new system called BCM or Body Control Module, all switches are new, the way the switches work is different.. there are a lot of changes.

If you want you can download the 2011 change catalog here..

A lot of those changes of the switches are to clean the look up. I was shown the differences and they seem to be handy.

    Plenty of good stuff,
the new electronics is a move in the right
    direction, hd's ECM communications
now is pretty slow, the move to Bosch's CAN
standard puts it on the level with
the auto industry, which means they'll
be able to take advantage of a lot of
new technology, that will allow them to
continue the air cooled engine longer.

    Switches are now momentary and
no longer carry power, it's all done
    by HD-LAN on the bike.

thanks for the link. Of interest was the HDlan, looks like it's a logic controller setup. I can almost understand this setup better than the older one [I have a bitch of a time trying to figure out the electrics on my bike..luckily I've not had many issues with it.] Looks like it's relatively easy to program your changes to the processor if you have the equipment to plug into it. I like it when stuff is dummied down to my level. Now if they could just see it to lower the price of the Ultra Limited a little but in the meantime I'll be riding a perfectly fine motorcycle

Another cool feature that I liked about the 011 and not sure if they had this before, but when you want to check your trip meter or whatever, in that same switch you can check to see how many miles to go until you have an empty tank. That would be handy don't ya think?
