I remember working at a Shell gas station in a small town but we not only pumped the gas but we also cleaned the windshields, checked the oil and on request checked the air pressure in the tires.

Pop had a station and we sold Amoco premium for $ .269 gallon. Big fill ups were caddies maybe $5 bucks! Yep, the windshield and rear window got squirted and wiped clean, oil and water (antifreeze in winter) got checked, if wanted the tires got air. If you were lucky you might get a dime or even a quarter as a tip!

Yea forgot about rear window but didnt pull the radiator cap off after I saw one guy get burned by hot high pressured water. did get a few tips, mostly got you missed a spot on my windshield. Boy how times have changed. the Chevron station by the Harley shop still cleans windshields unless they are swamped.
