If you all are looking for a ride with some curves and are in my neck of woods (The Ozarks) someday. There is a run in Northern Arkansas around Jasper Ark. called the "Moonshine Run". It has 166 curves in a 100 mile stretch. The curves are hilly and range from 40 mph to 10 mph, with no break down lanes. Just rock cliffs and deep valleys. You miss a turn and they may not find you until hunting season. It is a breath taking ride in the fall with the leaves changing. Ride safe.

We have the Dragon's Tail here in N.C. Someday I'm gonna take my light & nimble shovel on it. But not before I get a Wilwood rear brake. :)

Dragon tail has nothing on this. The Coronado Trail in South eastern AZ.
There are 435 curves between the city limit of Clifton AZ and the town of Alpine and more into Springerville for a total of 92 miles. There are twice that many lesser curves, what I'd call "directional adjustments." You climb from about 3500 feet to almost 9000 in elevation. The route passes the vast lands of the San Carlos Apache Tribe, the Blue River Primitive Area, and the pine and aspen forests of the White Mountains.
Ask Sleepy and SK they'll back me up on this one. You want curves, it has em and you don't want to hold back on it either, what a ride.
The three of us did it with Dave the original Bike Talk owner. What a fun week trip that was, never forget it and would love to ride it again. Fatboy your gonna have to ride it with me when you get down there.

I stand corrected, The Moonshine Run out of Harrison AR. has 662 curves in a 110 mile run. Plenty of scenic views and places to stop for gas and grub. Anyone coming to this area or Branson MO give me a shout. Any reason to putt is a good reason. Picture of map to follow.

You are right, Dragon is short, but 318 curves in 11 miles is a lot of curves however you look at it. There are several more in the area, not as well known, less traffic and bunch of fun... :)

No doubt that would be a fun 11 miles but just think of riding 92 plus miles with over 1000 curves. I believe CD told us there were something like 1500 total curves. At one point we had a herd of Mountain Goats run out in the road in front of us. Took us a good couple of hours running that road hard due to all the corners. There all fun, but yea hear of so many bragging about the Dragon Tail. This road in AZ will really make em push their limits if they ride it right.
