Well it has come to the time once again that I am looking for another firearm. I was in a local sports shop and I wandered over to the guns just browsing when there was something that caught my eye. What I saw was a Beretta Px4 Storm in .40. They had a trigger lock on it so I fondled the firearm but just couldn't get a good feel for it. Today after work I went to my favorite outfitter and guess what, he had one there but in 9 mm instead. Man, I like that firearm.

What are your opinions on Beretta and that specific gun in particular? Thanks.

The outfitter is pushing the 40. I like 45 but I guess I am open.

+ 1 on .45. Not as snappy as .40. "plenty of power. If you"re looking for carry three's some nice sub-compact .45's out there, also .40's

For a sub-compact I have found the 9mm works best as trying to get back on target is easier.
I had the Springfield XDS 45 and found that the recoil for a small pistol was excessive. 9mm hollow points can do a lot of damage and if I carry a small compact I carry the 9mm. I have a compact and a full size 1911 in 45 and love it but don't carry either, just to bulky. I also carry a Ruger SP101 in 357 mag, they are really nice but still a bit heavy.
    Lots of choices out there.

See, the recoil of my Sig250sc.045 doesn't bother ME a bit. In a close encounter I'm right back on target (anywhere in the boiler room). Just pick the largest cal. YOU'RE comfy with. A nine is good, would be my 2nd choice, that's just for me.

40 is good more power than a 9. Ammo is less expensive.

My all time favorite Sig and 40cal is the Sig 229

The P229® was the first pistol to be manufactured in Exeter, New Hampshire. Available in 9mm, .40 S&W and .357 SIG, the P229R is one of the most popular SIG SAUER® pistols and carried by thousands of law enforcement professionals throughout the country. The compact size of the P229R makes it ideal for concealed carry.

Mine is a police return to Sig from the Atlanta Police dept. Sig goes through them and what a beauty it is and a accurate fantastic pistol. Definitely my favorite.

My and a lot of my buddy's carry a Springfield XDS 45. Its a great carry pistol.
And you can get a spare 7 round clip pretty cheap.

Do not shoot nothing but ball ammo for the 1st 300 rounds.
The gun is tight when it is new. And keep it lubricated.

Then if you have another style ammo you want to shoot.
Go shoot a box threw it and make sure every shell feeds and goes threw it good.

I don't shoot nothing but Ball ammo myself.
Its a 45. What else do I need to shoot.
It carries a heck of a wallop and don't kick as much as a dang 40.
It carries and conceals very good.
    And its accurate too.
It has the pistol trigger safety, and the grip safety.
It is a combat style pistol. So when you have your hand on the pistol. You need to realize, as soon as your finger touches the trigger it will fire.
So when you pull it realize this.
I get a lot of slack, cause I do not carry with a bullet in the chamber.
I carry it like the israelrailes do.

Very good carry pistol that don't weight a lot and you can carry it a lot easily.
I have a foam holster I carry inside my pants on the cheek of my right butt.
The clip goes over my pants.

Don't care what kind of pistol you have. If its too big to carry. You will not have it on you.
And if it ain't on you it ain't any good.
