Can you fine tune those? Do you really have to dyno it every time you change the program??

You can hook up to a laptop and make changes or have changes made while on the dyno, I did motor and exhaust work and then had it tuned on a dyno 1 time and am very happy and don't plan on doing alot of other mods.

So it would be better to do all of you mods at the same time then? That dyno time is not cheep is it. :banghead:

Yes the most economical would be to have engine and exhaust mods done then tune it once and enjoy, but it is hard to stop there. I believe dyno time was $75 an hour.

I have passed through Eau Claire many times. Have you ever been to Hals HD in New Berlin Wisconsin? That is a really nice dealership.

When a bike is properly tuned it is tuned in every cell from idle to WOT
    So that is every 256rpm

The TM can tune all of those cells
All tuners don't tune at every 256rpms

I like to look at their bikes online because they have such a great variety. When i was in there I almost walked out with a custom bike. They wanted just a tad too much.

Belive it or not I've been hearing god things about the Power Commander five. (I've never had much luck with the power commander the maps don't get it done like they say) Then there's the Vans and Hines fuel pack. I had somebody pushing off on me.

None of those "auto tuners" tune every cell
to get the majority of cells you need a load
on the bike and the only way to do it is on a
    dyno.

TTS and Tmax fill up the cells where you ride
not cells where you don't gather data.

For example, if you never hit 7% throttle at 2500 RPM
ever, then it will never tune the cell, or modify the original
    cell settings.

Now that cell will use the default numbers, and even if you
can hit the cell you have to have sufficient data
over time on the cell to get any meaningful data
    to make a change.

This doesn't mean the number in that cell is
correct or incorrect, it just means you don't ride there
ever. So there is a tune, it's just not "tuned"

    Make sense?

What they now do in some cases is take your recorded
data and "estimate" other cells based on the data recorded.

Like setting the cell at 0% throttle at 6000 RPM

I want to see someone hit that cell, on the dyno, or on the street tmax, tts, pcv, etc....

    As to your SERT

Yes you can tune the SERT, you hook up the cable to your
laptop and the SERT dongle (key box) to the bike.

Go ride and record data and then
you can make changes to cells based
    on the data recorded

Generally you set the cell up for the bike
    then the AFR is input
then you can play with timing.

You'll get 90 to 95% of what you need or more
    over some time.

About 3 runs will get you to cover the cells
    the way you normally ride.
