Good god it's just a tiny little girls engine,

I had my 124 down and out of the frame in 4 hours along with the trans, and a separate primary.

What are you doing taking one bolt out a day? LOL

As I said, the engine is ready to be taken out. No major issues at all with this process other than fighting those stupid ass crimp lamps that the MoCo uses. When this bike goes back together, I will be using the Corbin style.

    Here are some pictures.

I bought a special CV boot plier set for maybe $30.00 from Snap On for the H-D clamps. The screw type line clamps may vibrate and chafe through the oil lines where they run together into the cam chest as they take up more space than the H-D P.I.T.A. clamps.

Corbin clamps aren't worm gear clamps

BEst make sure those clamps have the correct
pressure to hold things tight, remember HD's
    are not farm equipment....

THey shake rattle and have higher pressures...

Yep, there's a reason why those Harley clamps are crimped down.

Ummm, you may be more optimistic than I am. Those look like they would work well for non fuel injected pressures, and maybe cooling system pressures (20psi and lower), but I don't know if I would trust unclasped spring steel for oil system pressures of my new fresh engine build.
Look into clamps for oiling systems on race cars, maybe some aftermarket turbo suppliers, for clamps that would work well in tight areas and seal completely.

Probably a loose muffler clamp or heat shield making the noise.
    Or broken heat shield.
Hand wash the bike and talke your time. Put the wrag with soap on everything.
    see what you find loose.

these are the corbin style clamps you want no worm gear to cut in to hose and will hold 65 psi . upload_2014-12-16_19-45-12.png

Check into FMSI at your local auto supplier, the company makes a shzitload of fuel, tranny and brake hardware. They sell the crimp style clamps in a lot of sizes like HD at a very reasonable price. AS Roadster Guy said invest in the correct crimp pliers and look OH so cool.

The point is he dont like to deal with the crip claps so he wants them to be easy to change out the hoses with not having to cut the clamps in tight spots

I like those much better than the springy type, and they will not wear into the oil lines like the old style worm clamps, but will there be room under the cam cover to run the oiling hoses beside each other with that style clamp?
