    Would you guys use Teflon tape on the connections on the adaptors for the gauge?

    Any threaded connection that oil would be passing through or to ....Yep...
    I prefer the liquid pipe sealant...Locktite or Permatex

    Teflon tape applied properly to the threads works very well however the liquid is easier to apply.

    we don't use teflon tape on things with small oil passages, had some plug the oil lines on a compressor we rebuilt one time, know this is a different application but think the same thing could happen, JMO. We use Loctite 567 or PST, works good.

    Tape isn't a problem as long as you put it on the threads and wind it clockwise for a normal threaded bolt/item.

    Just put something on the threads and tighten up. I prefer PST.
