Ok. Will try. I tried posting a pic recently and all of a sudden files are too large. WTF?

get a photobucket account, it's free
you can download the app to your phone
or do it on your pc

upload the photos to your library on photobucket
then link to the image here and it automatically
    resizes it.

That's true and it works very well and is easy to do. I use my IPhone and don't have to resize any of the pics.
The Photobucket will also work if you want to put a signature picture on here.

I was able to attach straight from my phone. It's in the Tapatalk app. I just don't know how to resize them on my phone just yet.

Well I have the rank off and getting ready to pull the rocker covers. My first little obstacle was to get part of tank brace off. When I went to the rubber mounted tank there was a new system for it. Well it kept vibrating loose so I put some loctite on it. Needless to say it was a PITA.[IMG][/IMG] this what was a PITA.

Now that I figured out to post pictures because of something that changed on Tapatalk, I can better show what it is that I am doing.

What your opinions on this. My SM suggests to take the carb and exhaust off. Listen or not to listen?

If its not in the way leave it just get the tank off .carb just slide off with the cables still attached tie wrap it to the front exhaust pipe .let them hang .rocker covers will come off after that .

After reading the SM I went and looked at my rear exhaust pipe. That one will have to come off. I won't be able to get in there decent enough with a wrench to get the bolts free.

Another question. Would it be smart to put collapsible tubes on instead of the solid tubes when I reinstall them? I have no intention of using adjustable push rods at this point. I am Thinking about ease of repair if something happens again. I will be changing the seals on the lifter blocks while I am in there.

Didn't get anywhere yesterday as I had my middle daughters birthday party. This morning I will be firing up the heater and spending the day out there since there is no Vikings football on. More pictures to come.

If you're using one piece pushrods,I don't see any advantage of using collapsible push rod tubes

    I can't see the pics you posted...but I've read they're good:D

The only advantage that I am looking for is the convenience of ease of removal. I am concerned about clearance issues of getting the solid tubes both out and back in. I am not taking the head off. If the solid tubes come out easily then no, I won't swap.
