Nope we rand about 20 miles or less down the road and hit some curves and came back. Didn't want to run their gas out, Just wanted to skin the tires up so it would give them some grippin power.
And we would always tell the customer, Take it easy for 100 miles till the slick wears off the tire.
When they left they would always blow off like they was late for something.:gah:

If you git brand new fresh tires and look at them, they are real Slick lookin from the casin release.
They have just been made and not sittin on the shelf dry rottin in place waitin on somebody to buy them.
We put some New tires on a Ninja 1000 Kawasaki
I don't like sport bikes so the Boss took it out.
He hit like 128mph in 2nd gear.

Those bikes are just too fast.

He took it down the Hiway and back trying to make sure it had some scratch's on the tires. The customer was super happy with his new tires.

Why would anyone allow someone to take their bike out and run the piss out of it to justify breaking in the tires.
I would never allow some dude to take my bike out and break in the new tires I can do that myself just fine and always have.

Exactly ....what would 20 miles do anyway ....Just tell them they have to take it easy for another 80 miles.....might as well just leave the guys bike alone and tell them to go easy for 100 miles

When the HD dealer puts new tires on yer bike they take it out for a test ride.

We took the bikes out for a test drive. We checked for vibrations to make sure the tires were balanced good , and that we didn't feel any vibrations.
And weather you like it or not. The tires got scratched up.

And when you tell a customer to take it easy for the 1st 100 miles. They never hear it.

Mabe you should take your tires off and carry them to the dealer and have new tires put on and reinstall it yourself.
And if you have a PROBLEM
YOu took the tires off and put them on. We don't want to hear it.
    Yer Poor little bike.
Like yor are not going to run a Harley 70mph on the interstate.
And a Japanese Race bike that will do 180.
Hate to have you git up to 140 and it to go into a wobble cause we didn't check everything out.:gah:

Sometimes the tires need rebalanced. We did not have a spin balancer.
Sometimes the brakes need on older bike need adjusted and checked.
You get to check out the belt and any noises.
We never had a customer to have a problem with us driving their bikes down the road and back.
Sometimes they would be standing there.

You just don't turn a customer loose on a bike you just put tires on.
    Everybody wants to Sue everybody
By driving it you get to check some of the things out so the customer leaves happy.

NO indy can get the cvo tires yet, HD has the 18 and 19's locked up in contract

Dunlap does make a 16 inch of the new tire that doesn't have HD logo and it
    saves green.
