Rode over to Cripple Creek CO for the Veterans Memorial Rally today. Beautiful day for a ride and very little traffic to contend with. Met Chopper Steve riding through Colorado on his 70 something Shovel with untold number of miles. Nice guy and a serious rider. Think he said he's been riding non-stop for many years, and his bike looked it.

Good ceremony for all the vets who didn't make it back home since VietNam. Plus, the little town of Cripple Creek made a great Memorial Park with a wall of honor and neat displays. Perfect day.

It's purdy country up there. The town looks almost like before, but since they got gambling legalized, it's really boomed with growth. Lots of new casinos and fancy hotels and restaurants now.

These are some of the neat old buildings I liked.

Hey Cowboy, have you been over this way in a while? If you wanted to get away from all that heat there, come on up......it's only 80 and perfect riding weather here. Heck, I'll even put you up if you'd like, and the beers are on me. That goes for any of you guys (and gals).
