Glad to hear your son is OK. I hate it when I don't know if my son is OK.

I lived in north Georgia for 10 years. Lived in a trailer on a hill so that one end of the trailer was off the ground so high you could walk under it. One time when my son was an infant, a tornado came really close. All I could think to do was put him in his car seat and hover over him. Fortunately it missed us, but it did a lot of damage very close by. Scared me badly. I hate tornadoes.

We have them out here a lot too, but you can see them coming from a long way off.

I live 125 miles from the Coast. ONe called Rita tore the place up here up real bad. It did 11.1 million dollars of damage just to Lake Livingston Dam.
Another one called Ike closed the place up with trees for a week.
And the pressure from a Hurricaine last for many hours and hurts yer my head.

But a Tornado does a super lot of damage in Seconds.
In 2 minutes a Tornado is come and gone.:gah:

Hey Jr. come on up and I will let you go and climb in and out of boats hangin in a sling, and git on yer hands and knees on a ladder under a boat and work.
And git down in where the motor is in a inboard boat , Lots of room down there.
And you don't git no lunch and NO fan while you work either.
If'n you fall in the water, we can dock yer time .
And we can pull outboard motors while their still hangin in the boat sling.
And crawl under Pontoon boats while their still hangin in the slings on a ladder. Make a Man out of ya.
    And Oh yea.
    I'll buy you a beer.

Another Big thing I worry about, we've had 2 boats lifts to break and plunge to the water. The cables holding them up broke.
I run my hand up and down the cables tryin tocheck them, when I find one that is frayed I show it to the customer and say look when I run my hand down this cable its frayed and sticks me.
The customers replies and says well don't run yer hand up and down it and it won't stick you.
Yea ! but wha if'n it breaks while I'm around or under it.
They ain't gonna spend the money on the cables.
If the wind is blowin and the cable breaks they loose their boat, the waves will beak it to death and wash it under boat houses and against bulk heads.:gah:
Where do all these stupid folks come from.:cussing:

Interesting, I spent 4 .3 years in the navy as an Engineman, got held over in Vietnam due to a increased NVA offensive. Never wanted to see a boat again. :D
