Okay I got the nuts off. Thanks guys!
Next question: When reinstalling th new clutch drum how does it get snugged up? I had to use a puller to remove the hub so will the nut suck the hub up tight onto the tranny or does it need to get pressed on somehow?
Thanks again for the info guys!

When re installing the clutch hub onto the tranny, how do I snug it up onto the tapered shaft? Will the clutch hub nut snug it up enough or is it pressed on somehow?
I had to use a puller to remove it so I'm not sure how it goes back on.
    Thanks guys!

if there is no key.....it is a slip fit and the nut should hold it.......................i thought there was a key in there......but i do get brain farts from time to time......

    I think there's is a key.
Does that mean the nut will snug the hub up tight onto the shaft?
What does the key have to do with tighening the hub?
I apologize for being so ignorant. This is my first time doing this operation. I do learn quick and will not forget how it's done. Do I put the basket and hub on the shaft and tighten the nut and that's it?
Thanks for your info Mr. Chuck.

the key lines it up and keeps the drum from spinning.........yes torquing the nut will hold all in place................have fun

    Thanks ChuckTX.
I am still slightly confused as usual.
If it has a key, why is a puller required to remove it? Is it just a tight fit that gets stuck after awhile?

It's just a nice tight fit that needs to be persuaded to come off, correct?
I understand now. Thank you sir.
You are teaching me a lot that I didn't know about my bike and I really appreciate it.
