I don't know you will have to ask Willie G

RG used to be the big mans bike, lots of room
can stretch out, then it got popular and all the short
weiners started bitching, and the MOCO wanted
more sales, so the seat went forward, the bars
went buckhorn and back, the SE Ultra got
cramped controls even more forward seat

All so they could see to short little fuggers.

Dumbasses should have offered a RG Ultra CVO short bastard model option
    or had a seat option,

If I buy the new 2015 I'd have to spend $3K to get it right.

    Dumbassess.

Yea know your comments about short people here is derogatory as there are people here that have a shorter stature and don't consider them as the way you described them.
Harley is probably trying to reach out to those people and there are more and more people in our country with a shorter stature. Plus there are more and more women riding that might like to ride a Roadglide.

I'm only 5'7 . The stock ultra was a bit stout for me. The 2015 ultra low is perfect. I mean perfect. I feel like I'm riding a sportster ultra. Tight in high speed corners and confident on stops. Suspension, although lowered does its job. Seating and handle bar positioning is drastically different and I may change both. I just dislike discarding perfectly good and new parts.

I am one of those short fuggers you are referring to but I really don't like the new Road Glide myself. I especially dislike the handle bars. That is probably what I don't like the most about the bike, the changed seat position. Not sure if I could do a Victory or even an Indian. There were some Triumph models that I liked.

Years ago when I bought a Roadking I hated the handlebars and the first thing I did was change them out to one that made it better for me.

well, sorry, was talking about the MOCO's decision
to change a bike built for bigger people so they
could sell it to smaller stature people

I didn't say there was anything wrong with not
being tall, I said the MOCO screwed up a perfectly
great bike for bigger people, fat people, tall people
    tall fat bastards like me...

    Like I said I don't give a crap if Ms 5 ft 2 with

The ultra low is factory modified God send froM the MOCO for the short rider. THE FORWARD POSITONING OF THE SEAT AND HANDLE BARS are very awkward AT FIRST BUT THE LONGER I ROAd THE MORE I appreciated IT. Sorry about the caps, didn't notice it.

I wish i was taller as I appreciate and prefer the regular ultra. As it is I wear the thickest soled sh*t kickers I can find (timberlands) to help the cause.

    You're a good man hotroadking

Glad you can finally find a bike that fits you and you can ride comfortably on. When I first got my SE 14 Ultra it was really tall when getting on it. Wasent sure how well it would handle for me in the corners but found the only taller part was just the seat. The bike actually handles better than my 2012 did. I think it's in part due to the better shock system and frame on the bike.

That and the beefier front end. My '12 was a mess. Front end wobble in 4th gear at 40mph and another in 3rd gear at 30mph. I've lost track of the owners of electraglide between '09 - 12 that had that same issue. And the MOCO claims no problem. Why did they beef up the front end then? Look on any dealership and see how many '09-13 for sale. I was looking for front end stabilizers when the low got on my radar.

I'd called the MOCO 3-4 times about it. One tech agreed it shouldn't be happening, another said its no problem and yet another said keep your hands on the handle bars,no problem.

And dealerships were worse except laconia and my now retired service manager friend steve. His replacement was a tool bag POS, he's gone now. I took it back to one dealership 3 times. Their solution was to live with it...wow. Glad I got the ultra low!!!

I gotta tell you BI, I don't think your wobble was a design issue. There are a couple of overlooked "adjustments" that may have fixed it for you. First is s correctly performed "Fall Away Adj" on the steering head bearings. The other is tires and correct balancing. Then there are odd issues. Not that you had this but I had a slow speed wobble with one or no hands on the bars. I went through everything then eventually found both lower triple tree fork pinch bolts broken. I know more than 10 club members that have or had 2002 EG's no wobble issues.

forget the cave stuff, that's for us snow bound folk and don't you even think about hibernating lest you get your relocation notice to Minnesnota. We'll be doing the hibernating and you best be riding your bike..and bugging us about the warm weather there. Sometimes ya gotta take one for the team ;)
