All that was checked including losening the pinch bolts on the triple trees which did resolve the 40mph 4th gear wobble. The 30mph 3rd gear wobble went unresolved. Faulty front tire replaced too. There was somthing up with the bike. It was suppose to be "new" but had 300 miles on it. It was a lemon.

I only got a couple thousand on the 2015,so far so good

You bought the '02 with 300 miles on it? Maybe a beat up rental or demo bike.
Another thing I was told by a club member who is a 27 year Harley tech is that most techs do not take the time to disconnect the cables from the handlebars when they do the fall away adjustment. (That's after he said that most techs never even do the adjustment) . Anyway, for you its water under the covered bridge now!

I liked the new Road Glide in very few ways. When I came back from my test ride I couldn't place what it was that I didn't like. Now that you mention seat position changed, this is what it is. However, you would think that since I am short that I would feel more comfortable with the change. Not so. I am way more comfortable on my 01. It makes sense considering the amount of room I have on my 01. Way cramped on the 15. I felt like I was riding a bagger with mid controls.

I realize the moco needs bikes that fit folks of all statures but
that's been an issue for all bike makers, heck even at my height
a KL1200T and it's a jump, being that most of my height is from waist up
but I can get on it and feet on the ground, up on the center stand it's pretty dang high.

But BMW isn't going to change the bike to fit a different rider height,

Get on a Howsyabusha Suzuki isn't going to pull out 400 cc because
someone isn't happy with 200 HP, or make the shocks handled a 400 pound
guy and 300 pound rider so they can sell to the friends of the fat...

My beef isn't shorter stature but the moco changing the one bike
that was designed to and fit taller fatter bigger folks so it fit all
the same people that the low bikes fit.

I agree with you so much on this. HD did screw up a perfect bike. I have the wife's go ahead to purchase a brand new Harley Davidson but there just aren't any out there that I would buy. I almost considered a 2010 CVO Ultra that I found down in Florida. Can't do it though.

Average rider used to be 5'10" and 180lbs....I'm under the height and way over on the weight...Always had to set up the bike to fit me...What did they do to the new RG that changed it??

All this fuss, I might have to get on one of those bad boys and take it for a whirl, low bars close seat and a bagger with mid controls. Well hey. I wasn't thrilled with the previous version so maybe it's more my cup of tea in the present incarnation. How many of the fixed fairing bikes are sold as opposed to the bat wings. At one time I think that the Road Glide or Tour Glide..good as they are were almost considered a niche bike, excuse the grammar] So anyone who wanted one would buy one and make the bike fit the rider.. Maybe they're thinking that they'll sell more of them set up for smaller people. Thus more sales and that the larger rider would make the changes to his ride as he sees fit. I've seen some tall boy bars for the Electra Glides. can't get into the high bar scene or feet first riding

You are missing somthing in general but in specific I am commenting on how other brands like BMW,Suzuki or Busa won't adjust their bikes for a perceived customer need, real or imagined.

Kudos to the MOCO for always taking chances. Winning some losing others. HD has come a long way, leaps and bounds in fact from even 2 years ago. And it's their willingness to go where no other brand will. Shame on BMW,Busa and Suzuki for feeling such indifference towards their customers.

In a nut shel, Harley's rule others drool(with envy).
