I'm pretty happy.with the way things went, really no issues.here's some pic's of the the finished project and some tight fits. In the pic's check the front left rocker box and the frame thiers an indentation in the frame for it to fit it's right at the top of the indentation. the fit on the hogged out vello cover, I decided to make it work, it didn't come out to bad. Also the air cleaner and tank just touches put a piece of rubber tape just not to mess the tank up you wouldn't be able to se it on the bottom of the tank but preventions say's it all. talk to you all when I change the oil at 500 mis. unless something weird happens ........................later................................strickt9Rob.

Hey! cowboy I don't live in Texas today the Hi was 34 I did get a ten mile ride in just went around the block real quick. The forecast really not looking good this week.So imight pull the lower legs put new seals and check the bushing's I've got a new set Metzler's to put on also so untill it gets to at least 45 degrees I'll try and keep busy.but your right if it was 60 degrees I could stick to the lowlands and get it done in 2day's but that cold takes a toll in these old bones.......................later strickt9rob.

Chucktx yea ,I had to take it out just around the allitle it certianly fells like a hand full this is great weather for breaking the motor in.The thing sounds real crisp In the little manual that came with it for exhaust .Said not to put anti reversion cones in it.for pipes run 8 - 16 "'s of 1 3/4 them you can open to 2" for so many inches and then 2 1/4 withch I think Vance Hines are configured like that but the best numbers are revealed with the longest strait 1 3/4 pipes you can put on it? hence the 1 3/4 samson strait fish tails. It's pretty nasty soundin. I pulle the plugs and the look ghreat nice even light tan color I'm really stoked with this motor. I've m noticed everything gets out of you way though bird's critter's deer everything is scurrying out of the way.lol put I 150 mi's on it scince I dumped the oil at 60 mi's.Have to send some better pic's soon.........later

Hey strickt9rob glad to read about your project. I have been considering putting the Ultima 127" with 6 speed in my bike 1991 Electra glide classic.
It's been several months, so can you tell me if you are still likeing your new motor.

    Ultima 120"

Put 12,000mis. On it last year.these Motors are the best deal out there for the money. I went 120" because it's a square motor 4 1/4 X 4 1/4 Just fit inthe 95 softail frame. This motor runs real good to much motor for the stock primary though. ran it, like that for a couple months.ended going with Ultima 3 1/4" Open Drag Primary. That was the ticket! Big difference. I'm happy with all the Ultima products Fit, Finish and you can't beat the Performance for the money.............Good Luck.............Rob.

PS ....... How are all you guy's doing........... HRK, chucktx, cowboy,SPORSTERBOY

Project looks great i have a Custom Softail Ultima 113 kit, it was a previous owner build and this fall it fell over in the driveway while idling when I went inside to get my coat. I went from replacing a couple parts to almost a complete rebuild, I have I have the 2 inch old school belt drive to install and paint I'm done. I see you added a six speed last year can you help me out with the five speed at all what model year throwout bearing would you use for there five speed with 250 rear 1-1/4 off set. I think its bad again this would be the 3rd time.
Problem is when clutch is actuated it doesn't fully disengage the clutch, when I stop the bike walks considerably, I have checked the clutch adjustment four times and I know I'm doing it right, I installed the Drag Specialties "Main Street Hydraulic Clutch" so there is no adjustment there.

Any info would be great, also i put a post on here for a EVO service manual that would be great for Ultima parts if you have any info that would be great too.

Thanks in advance, when I get more time on here I'll post pics. of the bike.

    clutch release

I was never realy sold on off setting just to run a wide tire. But, to each his own. clutch not disengageing sounds like your throw rod is not long enough? They do make a couple of different lenghts, for certain applicatons. Hydrolic clutch? could be its not propely bled leaving it spongy causing it not to disengage fully.what year is the bike? I would check these things first. Did you put the belt drive on the bike? check the instructions over again. hope this helps good luck......have a safe riding season......later ....strickt9Rob.
