Been thinking about a V-ductor, but not sure if it would install with a Keihin butterfly/Chopper Dave aircleaner.

:roflmao:no problem JB...they were 2 isolated cases,I wouldn't let that discourage me....considering one for the King myself with 91 octane approaching $1.50/litre ($6.82 US gallon) any increase in mileage is a big plus and a little better throttle response as a bonus....

Neither one of those two posts stated that the V-ductor did not help. It was a not sure statement. I can tell you that both my bikes have benefited from it.

I'll tell ya what hurt my mileage, my wrist!!

Since I went to the 95 incher I can't keep my wrist under control, it just keeps twisting and letting off and twisting and letting off. Run it up to 85 then let off and back to 90 and let off and do it all over again, darn wrist i just can't figure it out. :D:D

Ummm... from Deuce3...post #38....Did 110 miles with the V-Ductor on and measured 36 MPG. Took it off, did the exact same route at pretty much the same speeds and acceleration and measured 41 MPG. So - at least on my setup - it doesn't help.
The other fellow figured it was his home made A/C cover...which it probably was.....

Sorry I just can't believe that as I know it has helped mine.

He also stated that "I do have a larger air cleaner on the way and may try this test again when I get it installed, but for now it's out. "

I wonder if he put it in backwards.

Can't see how he could install it backwards.... what if the carb was jetted too fat and the increased velocity with the V-Ductor installed drew more fuel through the over sized jet...gas mileage and performance drop....is that a possibility??

Just showing the 2 posts JB read about loss of gas mileage and you didn't remember any one claiming it didn't help....

it's just like when people ask for advise on jetting, tell'm it sounds rich and they come back with something like - think i'll change the baffles and see if that helps. or buying a CV Performance kit and only putting in half of it and then wondering why it isn't purring like a kitten. dah,
