ya you right, it does get hot down here, but beats not being able to ride year round. We all need to find a place to live where its 68* year round and only rains when your sleeping :roflmao:

I used to be in New Orleans a few times a year for consulting on construction work. Last time there was to design an epoxy floor system for the Dome after katrina as well as some bridge and road work. The dome was getting all cleaned up and re-done from the refugees trashing it. Used gold and black colored quartz sand in the clear epoxy for the Saints colors.

Back on track... it gets freafin' hot and freakin' humid down that way bguillory!:eek::eek:

Ps. They found a room in the SuperDome filled with tv,s, vcrs, refrigerators, etc

Nope 70-75 is to me the perfect riding temps. Racing while you sleep is good. The sound of the rain hitting on the roof can help you go to sleep sometimes.

Only been down there once, years ago when my oldest daughter played AAU basketball, was at AAU Nationals. Was July, could not believe the heat and humidity. What I could not get used to was the drive through Martini huts...not complaining, just different!! :)

Just to make you boys feel a little cooler, it's snowing like crazy here with 18-24" expected. Temps have been cold all winter, never getting above 40 and usually only 20-25 all day.

They got 5 feet of new snow up in the Cascade Mtn range by us. Roads are bad for traveling. If you want to get to the east or central part of the state you either have to go over the Cascade mtns or up the Columbia Gorge. Either was is bad and chains required. Some roads are totally closed due to snow. :(

I see that you all are abut a degree warmer over there on that side of the gap than we are (38 deg.). Planning on going for a ride after church. That'll be great! Have a wonderful day MC.

Here is a few pics of the Willamette river from yesterday. These are called the Willamette falls the river is virtually the same on both sides of the falls, pretty full and high.

Wouldn't you know it. When church let out, the clouds came out. But fortunately no rain. Anyhow we managed to do about 40 miles or better which was good. Got up to the high fifties but the air had enough moisture to make it feel colder - but it was still n-i-c-e to ride.:D:D:D

We're gonna have temps in the 60s all week with only one rain day predicted (Tuesday). As close to paradise as it gets around here!
