I'm not complaining. Just commenting on the weird temp swings this year. Last year we were over 35" of snow by this time. So far, thanks to the past weekend, we have 6" and it's practically gone now Yippeee! I guess buying a major snowblower in September was the trick to keeping snow away!

There are some smokin deals down in Phoenix. Friend of mine bought a place. priced in the '70's and utilities are not out of line either. Medical insurance, however is a whole other process and probably the main reason why I haven't pulled the trigger on a home as well.

No income tax in AZ either! AND, like Sleepy said, ya could buy a NICE 3 bdrm ranch for low 70's with about a grand in prop taxes. My sons have 2 story, 5 bdrms, 3 1/2 baths, 3 car garages, total of about 2500-3000sf and they paid from 121k to 132k each.

Heard where one guy down there had his house ripped off the hinges with him and his kid in the closet. Says he opened the door to see his house gone.

Bad weather just finished passing through here around 7:30 pm Heard of a tornado south of here in Cameron, luckily in the marsh so no damages. Just wind and heavy rain for awhile around here, electricity went out but only for 30 minutes or so.:D
