Just heard on the news that we are having the driest December on record. They are having to make snow up on MT Hood for the skiers, I'm loving it.:)

Weather was decent - cool but decent. The kids had a GREAT time and really enjoyed and appreciated their pary and gifts. The parents enjoyed it too and seemed very thankful. Did you get to go to SC? Was it a bit warmer there? Hope you could enjoy it.:)

We've ridden the Parkway to Cherokee. Get off there and go to Bryson CIty and stay at a place called The GearHead Inn. We like staying there, the rooms are plenty big, bikes are safe right outside your room, the owners come around to make sure everything is okay and they have coffee and do-nuts in the office in the AM. If you've never stayed there give it a try. Rooms are designed with the "60's" in mind. The rooms are named after muscle cars and they have muscle car pics in the rooms.

Nope, not stayed there, but may try it. Did not go to SC, stayed up here. Rode Saturday and Sunday last two weekends. Been waiting until lunch time on Saturday to let it get up into the 40s and after church on Sundays. One of the rides, went up past Mt Pisgah, that was cold. Been sunny enough that even when cold, good days. If you want to do something fun up the Parkway, get off at Waynesville Hwy 276 and head into Maggie Valley. Go to Wheels Through Time Museum, collection of old bikes is something else! ;)

Yep, I've been real lucky this year so far. Weather due to catch up with me though. Calling for rain most of the rest of this week after I get off for Christmas. Saying maybe some snow on Christmas Eve. Gonna be off Wednesday through the next Wednesday. Was hoping weather would hold out till I had off time, not sure now.

Weather here has turned colder. 30s in the mornings and struggling to make the 50s during the day. But most days have been sunny. Have to admit, it's too cold for these ol' bones to ride, but I see bikers out riding all the time - but they have fairings and probably heated gear, too. I suppose if I bundled up like Nanook of the North and put a fairing on the bike, I might ride in cold weather - but I won't.
Back in the day, when I rode my ironhead in the winter, I wore long johns and leather gloves for extra warmth. Didn't help much. I'd be stopping at coffee shops all down the road to thaw out. Good ol' days, for sure!

Beautiful ride through Maggie and I've heard about the "Wheels throughTime" but have never been. Need to go there sometime.
Hope to be able to pick up my bike today. Getting a warranty tranny rebuild. Supposed to set in raining later this evening or tonight.

When the dealer rebuilt my 08 tranny it was better than the one that come in it new. I was glad to git all new bearings.
The roaring noise totally left after they got threw with it.
