Praying that you heal up fast, Cowboy. Lady I know just across the street had double knee surgery a while back and she went thru hell for several months - but she was a lot older than you.

Double Knee surgery!!! Wow. Make sure you do the physical therapy, make sure you do the physical therapy!!!! Have several buds that had the double. Only one suffered almost a year. He didn't work on the physical therapy. The others never looked back and are doing great. They chase fish in the surf, sand and climbing over stones, waders and ocean waves hitting them. Next year you'll be back to draggin yer knees around the sweepers!
    Wishing you fast healing brother.

Dang Cowboy didn't kow that. Wheel chairs suck, did them last August for awhile. Man doing both at the same time that has got to be hard on yea for sure.

Healing up is hard when yea get older, I know. Do what the docs say and don't try and push it to soon.

Most people that get one at a time done never go back for the second. Best to have both done at once

How is it you had two bad knees at only 60? Either you were hard on 'em playing football, or just working too hard period. Sorry to hear you're having to go through this Cowboy. Wouldn't it have been better to just do 1 at a time so you could recuperate a little before going in for the other?

The docs usually want both at once. The pain and hard work at recovering usually discourage people from going through it a second time. A good bud of mine had both go bad in mid forties! He waited until 55. Of course he was a house painter and spent a lot of his life up n down ladders.

My dad played college ball, (of course HS and younger)

Finally had both knees replaced, first one took a while problem
with recovery was the other knee was just as gone and could
hardly support him while his other recovered

He's doing good now though at 72
