Yup. All the young crowd around here ride those annoying crotch rockets, and ride them badly. Those bikes are fast, but they have no soul.

Our HD dealer is going to start carrying Triumphs. Latus Motors is involved in racing and with the demise of Buel they are going to race them and I understand that Triumph is going to help sponsor them. Going to be weird seeing Triumphs in a HD store.

I should add in here to that Latus raced Ducati, but Ducati would not sponsor them. To bad to as Latus won the big race with a Ducati back in Daytona last year.

It's the same story here FLHT. Pikes Peak H-D bought the defunct BMW and Ducati dealership in town, and put them alongside the Harleys. Bad move.

Harley buffs didn't like seeing them right next to their beloved icons, and the BMW and Ducati snobs wouldn't come in because they're in a Harley dealership now. Ha! I think the new plan is to put the imports in an entirely new building next door.

Our dealer has a separate room off the showroom and that is where the Triumphs will be put. Problem is everyone will have to walk past them when going to service.:(

I get what you guys are saying but I'm only 23 and no matter what kind of bike I get now, it's not going to be my last one. I'll have to buy another bike eventually anyways. It doesn't make sense for me to spend twice as much to get a Harley right now so it's not going to happen. I was just looking for suggestions on a good Honda cruiser for someone as tall as me, not whether I should get a Harley or a Honda.

Good point. Thank you Though. I do appreciate the advice and and sharing your experience. I understand why Harley's are twice as expensive, because they are better. But for me that will have to be a goal for the future.

Ha! Years ago, I used to be "a nice person on a Honda". Now, some think I'm a bad-ass on a Harley. People's perceptions are so screwed up....I'm the same person and ride the same way, even wear the same leather jacket.

Kawasaki didn't even have the good grace to invent their own slogan - they ripped off "Let the Good Times Roll" from Shirley & Lee who recorded the R&B hit in '56.

A true, but funny story about that. Back when that ad was on TV, a buddy and I were driving down the road and a Kawa was broken down on the shoulder and my buddy rolls down his window and shouts back at the rider "Let the Good Times Roll!"

I remember when Kawasaki used the slogan "Put something exciting between your legs". Anyone who has ridden one of their triples knows exactly what that was all about.
