    The worst thing you can do to a bike is to leave gas in it while it sits for years. Gas is like a solvent, and it will dry out and crack rubber parts in the carb. Replace the rubber diaphragm in the carb for no other reason than it's cheap, and motor will run better.

    Won more thing to chek is too sea if the slide was driled? The vackume port that is in the bottom?
