    I left Vermont out intentionally..its the first civil union state. Its where it all began. Thanks Gov'r Dean...as wipe that he is.

    From the farthest tip of maine (Dickey) to the bottom end(wells Beach,ME its about 5 hours(380 miles).

    You can touch each state in a day. Every NE state has so many things to see, historically and scenically, you could spend a couple days in each state seeing some of the things there are to see.:)

    I looked on a map and you could fit all those states in Oregon, Vermont would be the size of a small country and Oregon will fit into Texas. Texas is big but then Alaska is even bigger.

    Vermont and New Hampshire form a rectangle and are each about the same size..more or less. Divided by the Connecticut river and which is great fishing (small mouth bass and trout) in my section near my house..walkng distance.

    then you'd have ta use a snowmobile or 4 wheeler....

    I've lived in a lot of States over the years, but my home for 1/2 the year is Colorado. Other half is Alaska. Just rode from AK to CO in 3 days, getting home on Saturday. Man I'm beat!

    Alaska is approx. 75% the size of the rest of the lower 48 States.
