If the power goes out I will load up the dogs and go to Houston.

When I worked I couldn't wear gloves and pin locks.
    Can't hold pins with gloves.
Hard to wear boots and track stuff in houses & businesses.

When we ride in the cold like we have now which is by no means like the cold in Canada. I wear a heated liner under my FXRG jacket plus a sweat shirt plus lined chaps. If it's really cold I'll wear my ski bib overalls, really like them in the cold. I'm to the age that harsh cold I just can't take it anymore. I'm like CB if my feet get cold I'm done. We get a wet cold hear like today as it's been hovering at 30-32 but it's raining all day. Now the sky is clearing and the temps will really drop. Winter for us seems to becoming early.

Our cold is pretty dry here in Calgary but that damp cold you get in the east, that's plain nasty. The humidity gets me, both hot and cold

Yea that humidity back east and down in the south is pretty miserable for sure. We hit Iowa on our trip to DC and from their to DC it was 100/100, horrible. Wouldn't even cool down at night like it does here.

Got a buddy down the street that is from Canada. From above Washington area a couple hours.
His mom & dad come down for like a month during their coldest winter time.
Me his brother & his wife & son.
Asked my buddy do you think you will ever move back to Canada.
He said no way. I love the heat & humidity compared t o the cold.

I wished I could spend the winters is southern florida.

I was up in northern WA in a small little town once just south of the boarder and saw all these dang power cords hanging down from a wire strung overhead. They were for plugging in your trucks block heater when in town. Problem was they were hung up pretty high. Guess the snow gets deep up there in order to grab one and plug it into your engine block heater. That's when it's time to head south. :)

We woke up this morning to ice everywhere. Some areas in Portland have ice that is reported to be a inch thick on the roads.
