Yeah they sure get buried there in NB &PEI....We got our share too,but the storms here have been changing to rain...now everything is a frozen chunk of ice....You know it's windy when it's snowing and raining sideways....Winds were hitting 110Km/h here with windchill close to -30 and Grand Etang(other side of island) clocked winds at 174Km/h...Can only guess at windchill there:eek:...Brutal bone chillin' cold for sure....

Yes, but the two weeks of summer we get are so nice!
Usually the snow goes down with the warmer days that come in between the cold snaps, but this year it was a great low snow warmer than normal winter until about Jan 10th, then it started with 30-40 cm every three or four days, and temps fell to mid -20s to mid -30s and have stayed there ever since. But the days are getting longer, and eventually warmer, and this will make the nicer coming days that much more appreciated.

Gee, I just heard that the Federal government In D.C. shut down because of the snow. They said Boston has had the snowiest Februrary on record. Heard they are begging people to help clear around fire hydrants in Boston. WOW, you guys have had more than your share.
Maddog and I are going to go for a ride as its going to be up to 65 today, not bad for February. But, if we don't get some snow in the mountains we will be really hurting for water this summer.

Boston is now over 8 feet of snow. We got another 4" this morn. We usually get a feb thaw but not this year. Snow and ice has been around since the first of it fell. The port jefferson harbor froze over entirely. It's salt water, lower freeze temps required than fresh water. In 16 years living here never happened.

I rode last night, cigar, gun store, cruised around town until 9:30
then sat in the garage with a cigar and coke watching tv in a tshirt and shorts, had to turn on the heater at midnight, it was down in the high 60's....

But it's supposed to get colder than a well diggers ass this week
with lows in the upper 20's in some parts of the state, some yankee arsehole left the door open at the border again...

I rode today about 125 miles checking out some roads. Was up to 66 this afternoon. Maddog and I were checking out a route for the HOG chapter ride next month.
Yea know Fatboy even the birds fly south for the winter and that's as far as I'll go with that comment.

Our weather for now has just been simply great and ain't complaining.

Dang I'm even warmer than HRK even at 6:35 AM this morning and we even cooled down a tiny bit. Think I'll getthe bike out today :)

I saw a bunch of photos of the snow just in the New England states. People having to tunnel out of their houses, how do you guys do it. One pic was of a women trying to shovel to her buried car and the snow was taller than she was. I can see why you have snow blowers and also see why you have to start early and have to constantly keep on top of it. Feel for you all.
