Its been sitting 10 years now. It was a daily driver but when gas went up and I only was getting 7-10 mpg I was done. It cost over 70$ to fill it up and I only got 200 miles a tank. Play money was used up. I really liked the car but its only a car,not like its a motorcycle.

What did we ever do before snow blowers, lol. Other then the walkway up to the front door thats the only shoveling I hope to ever do again. I really lke my BX 2230 Kubota with the bucket loader for serious snow removal. Makes me feel like a heavy equipment operator. 1 touch of the lever and big loads of snow get relocated expeditiously and least amount of sweat on my part. I know the mailman appreciates me keeping the mailbox area clear as summertime.

Boy do I remember what we did before snow blowers. As a kid living in southern New Brunswick we would get a lot of heavy wet snow and Roadster guy has already given us pictures of how things roll there. When I got my first aluminum shovel it made life a lot easier as the snow would stick to the steel shovels. then we got aluminum scoops to move more snow. Dad was a frugal guy so we never had a snow blower in NB. Years later out in Alberta with the closest kid living 200 miles away from our parents we bought them a snow blower to help them stay self sufficient. That was a good buy. My parents are gone now. I have the snow blower here in Calgary. Don't use it much. Our snow is pretty dry and we generally don't get the big dumps and I'm still in pretty good shape but I'm sure I'll be using it more and more as I get older and weaker.

Some people hate to see animals mistreated and unloved, I'm the same way with cars/bikes/ anything with a motor. Makes me feel like I need to "rescue" it. I've blown more money than I can count on other peoples lost causes over the years for parts, time, and bodywork, frame repairs, etc. Wife thinks I'm crazy, but they all made it back on the road and they all looked damn fine when I was done with them.

That's cool, wished more people felt that way. When I found out that my 01 Heritage Springer was left sitting out beside the new owners house, in the rain I cringed and wanted to go get it.

The story behind the Monty was someone was moving and gave me a 1992-92 Kawasaki Ninja. I traded the ninja to the owner of the Monty. I was in the process of restoring and still might

"Short Wheel Base" It's a truck thing. Had a SWB Dakota, a SWB D150LE with a 360, a '66 Coronet I put a 360/727 combo into, an 84 Ford Ranger I put a 2.3 Turbo motor from a Capri RS in, and many, many others.
Just lately traded my trusty '96 Crown Vic, an '05 Grand Am and an old ATV snowblower unit for my recent '06 Chevy Silverado SWB.
SWB trucks ride like crap, but they sure look cool!

First pic is up where I live looking towards MT Hood. Second pic is up at MT Hood and that area is less than 40 miles from me. That's a lot of snow and great snowmobile country plus skiing.

Sorry if the pics bothered you was just showing how close yet far away it is to me.

Well, BI, guess your gonna be getting that snow blower out pretty soon. When we get snow here at my place or in Portland area its a heavy wet snow and I hate it to. Nice to look at in the pictures but a pain to drive in.

Time for winter tires, winter mats, winter gloves, winter hats, winter boots, winter coats, winter heating bills, winter roads. Coats, roads, closest rhyme I could think of at the time.
