When a state or any entity makes concessions to a corporation, it the same thing as socialism. It is just disguised. It is the government playing an active role in deciding what the public needs. Yes it helps the company balance their books but it is still socialism.

Of course I would rather have a company that is fiscally sound. That is a no brainer. But if a company is fiscally sound as a whole, than there should be no issues with being unionized or not. Your argument is implying that all companies that have a union are not fiscally sound. Do you really believe that???

Tell me how a company that moves to a state that offers tax concessions is not socialism?

As you know the wife bought a new Chevy Malibu last year. Ran fine but it was by far the most uncomfortable car I have ever drove. Even the wife started getting horrid back pain driving it over 50 miles.
We sold it and bought a 2011 Ford Taurus, now that car is not only well built but is so comfortable I could drive across the country in it never getting out and feel good at the end of the trip. So anymore I'm buying quality and comfort not best priced.

Who knows for every dollar spent on GM some amount could go to Obama's campaign fund.

Who's the socialist? The company? or the government cutting the deal..and if the state/city gains revenue from the employer/employee added to the tax roll than maybe it's better business sense..as long as the business makes money and doesn't look for handout's up the road

If a State will help you with your business, help lower yer state taxes. That is a plus for a Business, draws more jobs for their people, brings in more tax revenue, and it draws more business into it.....
    And a better workin enviorment.

I agree, its better for both parties...

    It is not socialism.
    It is capitalism,

Capitalism as the government is encouraging an employer to locate jobs into an area where jobs do not exist, it will put people to work and the tax reductions (they don't give them money, they give them credits against tax expenses, money is rarely if ever given to companies.)

Using tax incentives to entice create NEW jobs is not socialism.
However I'd prefer that no government ever be allowed to enter
into any agreement to do this, which would eliminate that benefit
    and level the field...

Find an instance of a government simply giving money to any local business,
it doesn't happen, unless the company is going to leave and build a plant elsewhere and has an offer to do so by another state/city.

TARP was socialism, it was the government taking your money and giving it to
non profitable banks and companies, as well as GM/Mopar and, stealing stock from investors as well as bilking billions of bond holders out of long term secured investments.
