A lot of those blue connectors are an "add a wire" they add a wire to an existing line...The ones I can take apart,I will, then try to untangle the mess, then see what wire changed to what color to find what circuits they're for...this is why the Shovel is going to take the most time to finish...but when it is,it'll be neat and tidy:D

Well this week was pretty much a wash...came down with a bug...could barely drag my sorry azz to work, but by the end of the day I was fuct...Keith said Wednesday he may go down and fit the pistons and put the jugs back on.... I picked up a new set of the new style breather assemblies but haven't got up with them yet...gonna install them and enlarge the drain back holes to 1/8"....
Gonna get the nacelle on the cop bike re-powder coated black along with the spot lights and the nacelle on the shovel is going black too, might also do the cow bells on the shovel...a buddy of ours emailed me and said he had room in the oven Monday but if I couldn't make it he's doing a frame in 2 weeks and I can take them up then,I just have to do the prep work...
Here's a couple pics of the exhaust fans in Keiths paint booth(it's where the cop bike is getting done) You have to be careful when you turn the fans on there are no open doors,'cause they'll close in a hurry....

Very tempting cowboy...the problem, I suppose is the PC program isn't compatible with Windows 7,no way I could get it to run...she has Vista on the laptop which on the CD case says is OK...but I still couldn't get it to run,so I went to Power Commander website and checked FAQ's...so my OL went out and did the work around to get the program installed as suggested on the PC website and it worked:cool:Then the new custom map emailed me downloaded...clicked get map.... bang it was there, then send map and bang again, said it was installed....pretty easy:roflmao:
At least now the program is installed so if/when I do more mods it shouldn't make me want to go shooting computors and EFI modules and program discs:rolleyes::roflmao:

Have to agree with that! Just sayin', though, I'm glad I don't have to mess with all that computer stuff. If any of the modules goes haywire on the road you can't tinker with anything. Gotta be towed to the nearest HD dealer and then you're at the mercy of the service department . . . . $$$$ . . . . no thanks.

That is true Joshbob a sensor or module could go south on me and leave me stuck, but there is now way in Hades I would get towed to a dealer...I have more friends that are Indy's than there are Harley dealerships in Atlantic Canada and a phone call or two would have someone on the way with a rescue truck and a tow back to the Local Indy if needed...It happened a few years ago on a road trip with my lil sweetie in the middle of BF nowhere out of province, one call to my bud Keith back here for a number, second call got the reply"We won't leave ya stuck brother"

You're fortunate to have friends like that. I think most bikers do have friends that will help them in a pinch. I suppose if I were to break down somewhere and couldn't get going again, I could call a tow truck - but I would have them tow me home or over to Tattoo's shop. I have heard from some riders that electrical problems are the ones that pop up more often than any others. And if you have a modern bike with modules there just isn't much you can do about it except suck it up and buy a new componant. Some of them are hundreds of dollars I hear.

From my perspective at least, I understand a lot of what's going on with my bike and can work on most things on it on the side of road if need be. Just hope it won't be raining!

I apologize for going off track here, Lucifer. Hope your project is getting closer to completion!

Yeah Joshbob a Shovel or an Evo that doesn't rely on electronics except the ignition sensor,(point systems excluded)like the newer bikes is easier to do a road side fix to at least get you back home. When the new sensorized everything bikes break down ,you are dead in the water:banghead:
