    I'm surprised I lived at all the way that bike rode. I was influenced by Steve McQueen at the time when he raced Triumphs across the desert with little more than a long-sleeve shirt for protection. His bike was just a bare frame, motor, and knobby tires for race prep, and he was very successful.

    The studio honchos tried in vane to stop him from racing, but he raced anyway. You gotta love the guy.
