I think fur coats were the big thing in the 70's. But you can start that fashion statement all over again Joshbob, and look real retro riding the shovel. Heck, the Buffalo Rider would be jealous!

But I could see Chaz Bono doing it on a 50CC moped! Think I may have found my jacket but can't seem to get the picture from its website to here. No fur collar! No long tail to get wrapped up in my rear spokes! But I must wait as we are trying to save $$$ to fix the tranny in my '84 150. Really sucks. Looks like mama's sock is gonna be empty come Christmas.

I hope you mean Chaz and not me! Maybe he wants to be a girl again - Yikes!:roflmao: To get back on track - the jacket I found is available from US1 Leather and is a very nice no frills jacket. It's classic in style with a snap down collar & reasonably priced.

Had a Old bates jacket from the 70's that I gave my son, it was like a 38 size and I went from 138 lbs soakin wet to 190 over nite.
Dang women I'm married to is a half breed and one half is spanish.
Was wearing whatever jackets. Wind blew down the sleeves when it was cold if you didn't have gauntlett gloves.
I really like mid weight gloves for the winter.

I looks at Jackets about 5 yrs ago. The bestLeather jackets are made in India

I rode into a Harley dealer for their monthly deal where they have groceries.
Tried on a FXRG jacket and liked it. Put one for the OL and me on the CC 5 yrs ago and paid it off.
It ain't cheap but its a daum, great jacket. Don't have not one quirk about it.
The OL is totally crazy over hers too.
It has gortex in it so its water proof. It has a zipper in the back and front so air can git in and out. It has a removable liner and body armor.
It really , really is the Best Daum Leather Jacket I've owned since the 64.
I use Lexoil on it once a year. Used to have a Horse when I was younger. Lexoil is some bad stuff.
I got it so I can wear a sweatshirt with a Hood under it so I got something on my neck

First Gear has some really good jackets, very high quality. Have one of their leather jackets for over 12 years, yep still fits but has gotten a little tighter. :D

Dude the liner for the chaps comes out.
It was 16* for days here last year.
I live in the Piney Woods of East Texas cause I hate snow.
And I want it warm as much of the year as possible.
I like weather not to git below 55* period

And it gits plenty cold here.
I like to ride as many months of the year as I can without freezin.
I buy the Best leather I can find. If you do it right the 1st time and don't lay it down so it will git stolen, you will be much warmer and happier.

When it gits cold up north where he's at and snows he stays in the house.
His time for riding is much more limited.

I git the fever to ride all the time. Sometimes I just can't make myself go out in the cold.

Got two brother in laws that grew up in Albq N.M. It gits plenty of snow and plenty cold. Both moves to Tuson and Phoenix.
Both has said I can Never move back home or move up north.
    Hate the snow and cold.
People from Up north come here in the winter to live. And say I think I will stay.
I can git used to the heat, and go in the airconditioner.
    But Not the cold.
Another reason I can't go back home in Northern Alabama and live, it gits too cold.
