XL Handlebar Damper

    I have been searching for a handlebar damper kit for a 2004 XL. I called the local dealer after having no luck. They told me that there is no kit for this year model. Does anyone have a idea where I might find one.

    I have an 04 xlr and the vibs aren't that bad. I hear that filling the bars with silacon or there is a thing call a snake.Iso grips are good for vibs also :cool:

    It's not for me. It's for a friend of mine. He tells me his bars shake so bad he can't tell if anything is behind him when he looks in the mirror. Does anyone have any information on the "Snake"?

    the snake has been use in the off road bikes for a while....ya might try one of the dirtbike shops,,,,,but it sounds like your friend has a problem that he should address....to find out why it vibrates so much...check bushings, tire weights, forks....the vibration may be the sign of a bigger problem developing........jmho........
