i live out in the boondocks on a dirt road. Thick forest and pasture in the front, no neighbors to speak of on the immediate right or left for at least 2 football fields away distance and then only one neighbor. And in the back of the house more of the same....little pasture surrounded by thick woods. I have 12 acres in the middle of 1000 acres land conservationism.

I get home from work at 12:30 at nite. I usually sit up watching TV till 2-3 in the morning.

Last nite something very unusual happened at a little after 2 am. The living room faces the road. The back of the couch where i sit is to the street side with 2 large windows behind me, roadside. Anyways a little after 2 am i'm smelling old spice wafting thru my windows. Thats weird to me as i don't use any kind of after shave. I...

A few of us rode to a few of the many covered bridges here in Northweatern Oregon. I put 220 miles on the bike today but a great 80F day today for a ride. Oregon has the most covered bridges west of the Mississippi River?

Just wondering if anyone knows where I could get a set of piston rings for a DR250S 1988 model?
The bike blows out white smoke leading me to think that these need to be replaced.

Also would like to ask if anyone would know if using piston rings for a GN250 would work fine in the DR250S.

There are so many forest fires, grass fires wild fires that the military has now been called in to help fight them. Some really great motorcycle roads are closed or destroyed. Many homes are also gone. Close to home is the MT Adams fire and the Snake River area out of Baker Oregon is just ablaze.
